Installed it myself without any issues. The wifi signal is great even ru-vid.comUgkxE_D_sddGAdiVUKp7PkkmyxO7bRtgqmk5 when the router is located far away. I really enjoy the night vision feature that allows me to see clearly any activity near our house (mostly cars and wild animals). The motion detection is helpful to me as well to monitor what happens on our front.
Outstanding video! The old cameras only do an analog expensive setup. The cameras today do video WITH a Brain. The NVR systems are used in casinos and military bases to enhance memory, license plate numbers to face recognizing.
That what I’m looking for. The camera still turning as long the we press the arrow. Cameras like Dlink can’t do that if you don’t use their cloud servers. I prefer to direct IP address and use IP cam viewer app so I can’t enter my own IP address with my personal router ports. It says outdoor but I’m not sure if it’s good here in Montreal with our extreme wether
It is actually 12X optical zoom, if you measure the width of the green building under construction before and after zoom. If you view using the CamHi app, it provides an additional digital zoom which is merely possible because the smartphone has a lower resolution screen than the native image on the camera. No such digital zoom is present on the web viewer. I purchased a 30X camera that appears to be the same design as this one, called "SoulLife," ($130 on Amz) it is actually 10X. Still, for the price, 10X is not bad. Given how wildly all over the map and deceptive these cheap Chinese cameras are, it would be great if someone would provide a tested zoom specification for the many of these models. In the case of this particular design, which is sold under many different names, there appears to be two variants, a 10X and a 12X. Evidence of this is that these two variants are sold side by side on Ebay under one listing, one claims 30X (really 10X?), the other 36X (really 12X?). Interestingly, the listing linked below shows 4 variants, with 2MP and 5MP options as well, so it would be interesting to test the actual pixel count as well. I suspect 2560x1920 is not the case in reality for many of these models either. www.ebay.com/itm/36X-Optical-Zoom-HD-1080P-5-0MP-CCTV-PTZ-IP-Camera-Outdoor-Security-Camera-POE/324414534459?_trkparms=aid=1110006&algo=HOMESPLICE.SIM&ao=1&asc=230925&meid=7a59039192fe47cfb78088e43a278e7f&pid=101195&rk=2&rkt=12&mehot=co&sd=143889091734&itm=324414534459&pmt=1&noa=0&pg=2047675&algv=SimplAMLv5PairwiseWebWithDarwoV3BBEV2b&brand=Unbranded&_trksid=p2047675.c101195.m1851
Hi. I am.about to buy a Ptz 20x zoom camara and I was looking for a feedback just like you did buddy, I now decided to go for this Anran camera. Thanks man by upload this video and for the time it took you to process and edit the video
Very good. But, please, can you say about the others cables ?? What is the function of each cable? What is the function of that cable that has, like, a button? ? Thanks.
Hey there, I've got anran cameras. I can see the picture in the preview boxes. But on the main screen, it says encode not support. And there is no picture. Do you know what the problem is? I'm trying to connect it to the dvr
Hi friends! There is no 20x Optical Zoom, only 12x Zoom. I took a ruler and measured on the screen, at maximum magnification, the object increases 12 times. This can be clearly seen at 8:06 on shooting this green tower.
Hi i have this camera and my sd card is not recognized , it was working no problem for about a year and now suddenly no recording sd card 0 mb and not recognized, and i cant even find the sd card slot, what to do now ? please help :D
Hey man. Great review. I actually went out and purchased this exact camera. But I’m very upset actually. The quality of the image that you show on the video isn’t exactly the image I saw on my end. I’m not sure if you tweaked the settings in a particular way. You’re video is so crisp. What did you record on when you did the outside license plate video?
@@Securitybros yes I did. At 6:32 you say that these are recordings. Is there a difference between how the live image looks on the phone or web app versus how the image looks on saved recordings?
Hi Chris, Would you please let me know if this camera can record 24/7 recording ? I have the Google nest outdoor and yesterday they updated their cloud storage costs and now they want £100 a year for 24/7 cloud storage. I'm not happy with that and would like something with 24/7 SD recording. Please help. Regards Alex
Question: Want to buy PTZ for my cabin in the mountains. Cable provider through WIFI, it only has 0.66 upload/download. Is this enough to run a PTZ and view it remotely? If not, would it be better just to go with a fixed wireless camera through DVR system? Thanks!
I bought 5 of these based on your review. 4 work really well. The other 1 follows everything that moves and I can't turn it off. They say the camera doesn't have that feature. Very frustrating. I'm not buying any more until this is resolved. I wonder if there is a sensor I can block with tape or something but I don't want to block the day/night vision sensor or anything. If you know how to stop this supposedly non existent feature please share.
Curious if this camera, or any other PTZ camera would be suitable for on top of boat. FLIR makes a thermal/zoom camera but is $3-4k. I was hoping to have this plus a infrared spotlight. Would this camera fair well in a bumpy environment or would it fall apart?
Can it track people moving about, for example if a vehicle pulls into my driveway and a person gets out to walk up to my front door, can it track that automatically?
Hi bro, can you tell me what is the best budget PTZ Optical Zoom Camera? I need to buy one but i cannot decide which is the best? Thank you! I follow your channel 👌.
Hello ! I'm open to all answers and suggestions, I am new to the security camera world and I am wondering if there are multiple apps that can be used , I looked on the play store for camhi and the reviews scare me , can I use a different app , with better reviews for this camera?? If not what camera and app are better quality without breaking the bank thank you in advance!
Hello, I have finally got around to finding the root password for this camera so you can now enter TELNET and do as you wish !!!! the login is root and the password is hkipc2016 Goodluck People :)
Hi, it looks like a nice camera, may I ask you if the web interface also has the page to set multiple different motion detection areas (or is there only a single one from the app)? is there a JPEG or RTSP stream available to get live stream? thanks
Hey man I'm wondering if its a waterproof resistant. Have you ever tried the camera if the housing enclosure is great designed to keep out dust and moisture ?
I noticed in this video and your opinion also..this one looks much better and read better the license plates or recognise better the faces of peoples, than the the other one....Boavision mini....
@@Securitybros But at least is worth better this one than Boavision? I want to order one these days, and i wish to know wich one you advice me between these 2 :)
can this camera track and lock down to the human movement once movement is detected? Also what do u think of the 5mp claim? have you compare side by side with other 5mp/3mp/2mp camera and justified its a real 5mp? Thanks
Hi Cris love your account and videos! Does this camera work with anrans other cameras in system and can you pair more than 1 camera in the app ? Best regards from Norway keep up the good work
Hi, this is Pierre from the south of France. This is for sure the best video on this subject and it really makes me feel like purchasing that camera. Incidentally, it is currently at 130.90 Euros on aliexpress, just a few days remaining. One question though : the external cable looks very short to me... Obviously all connectors must be safely installed INSIDE the house. The external wall of my house is 24 centimeters thick, that is almost 9.5 inches. Can you tell me if the cable is long enough ? Also, can the cable be disconnected from the camera so that only a small hole in the wall is needed rather than a large one to fit all connectors ? Thanks a lot !
Hi, the best way is probably to use a junction box on the outside of the house so you only need to put the power cable through wall (and if you are not using WiFi the Network as well).
@@Securitybros Thanks a lot... even if your answer confirms that, for any reason, Anran designed this camera with a cable that is much too short ! Will nevertheless re-think about it given the appealing promo. Just checked that the price in the US is currently $ 150.46 ... 4 days remaining for this promo. MERCI !
Doesn’t look like you get much power wire there, how long is it? . Is there enough to go through the wall to a power point? .. great videos, keep up the good work✌️
@@Securitybros Thanks for the reply. I wonder if you would be so kind as to tell me how you safe video to keep for as long as you need to? I’m having trouble with the shop over the road from me, like most villages and towns since covid we have trouble with rats as there’s been no dropped food for them. Anyway, the people in the shop keep coming over to my house very very early in the morning and putting bread and other food out so as to attract rats to my garden and away from their shop. They have a massive yard if she was just wanting to feed the birds why does she not put it there! Iv need video of her so I have Proof that I can send to the relevant bodies. Cheers✌️
IN NEED OF HELP!!! Looking for a NVR security 4ch camera system with at a least 2TB Drive for a remote gate system. I have power at the gate but no phone line. Looking for a system that I can have 3/4 stationary cameras and 1 PTZ 5/8MP camera. I know some systems can only support their own cameras, so possibly interchangeable NVR cameras. So many choices but trying to stay under $ 1k. Thanks
Great video! Saw it, like it, bought the camera :) Quick question: is possible to set in on 1080p, could'nt find any way to do that. Thanks! Keep up the good work!
Hi Just watch your video and thinking about getting one for my detached garage, so for the Ethernet cable, so that alway have to be connected, is it as simple a setting up the camera and then installing it on the outside of my garage and just plugged in to the electrical outlet? Thanks
Hi, this one is a WiFi camera so yes you only need to connect the power adapter into a electrical outlet. Problem is if your garage is out of your range of WiFi, then you need to use a Ethernet cable instead or get a POE (Power Over Ethernet) camera where you only need one single Network cable for both power and data.
Forgive me I know very little about this stuff So “power over Ethernet camera” is a different camera all together . Or the POE plugs in the camera and electric outlet Thanks
@@jmercer74 Yes it would be a different camera that supports POE instead of WiFi. Hard to say if your WiFi is strong enough without testing but yeah you can use a WiFi extender but its not a great solution. It would be better with a wired camera (POE).
Does anyone have an actual link to the firmware of this camera? I have purchased it based on this review but can't get any real support from Anran and I read some folks have newer firmware than my version, which is from 2019.
Do you know if the ANRAN Indoor WiFi Camera also work to connect to CamHi? In the reviews I saw it seems to want IPC360. I would prefer to use one management application and not multiple. Was thinking to get this for outside and a few of the Internal ones for inside the house. BL-N20W1341-AR
They replied on Ali and said that the cameras each use separate applications. This is not good, shame that they decided each to use different apps. I wonder if there is another application that could allow for both. If you have both cameras let me know if you can check, see if there is any way to add all ANRAN cameras to CamHi? Have you tried Blue Iris?
The aliexpress page lists 4x 20x zoom. Is the camera 4x optical by 5x digital, or is it a 20x optical? If it's only 4x optical, that makes it a bit less of a bargain compared to something like the boavision
Hi Andy here in the UK. Could you kindly let me know if this CCTV camera is any good. I am looking for a wifi camera. It is for sale on eBay and it is the "Jennov 30X Zoom 1080P WiFi IP Security PTZ CCTV Camera". I would really appreciate your expert advice. Thank you in advance for any assistance you may be able to help me with.
Hi I have the 2mp Anran 4x optical zoom. I find the software "CamHi" to be very laggy with the app. The desktop version moves the PTZ without issue but then I find the camera to be a bit so moving left and right. I wanted to know if the one you reviewed here is much faster? I so how the cam was moving in your video but could not tell if it was just because of the app that was making it move slow or the camera itself. I let the fact it has 20x optical zoom and it is cool but at the same time I do not need it. I would rather have a 5mp lens as I know your video looks sharper. Also do you have any other cameras that you would recommend? I will/may have more questions later. Thanks!
I think its the same. The APP can be laggy when trying to Pan/Tilt so I recommend using preset points instead of trying to manually move the camera in the APP.
The reason for the cam moving left and right may be that the camera is not fixed well, or when the signal is weak, then the image in the APP will be delayed or not move when you slide the screen.
@@bakerpatton9137 Normally the desktop app is a lot better and more responsive than camhi. I manage to learn about blue iris and other 3rd party android apps that handles ptz a lot better. However you brought up a very good point. The camera does suffer from weak wifi which after logging into the router it shows the cam only getting around 50% connection signal. Not good because even the desktop app suffers from lag from the cam here and there. My issue is that I have my router downstairs because it wants to overheat in the summer time if upstairs, so the signal is weak. I could buy a wifi extender but may go ahead and make myself wire the cam up. Along with getting the rest of my cams PoE capable and getting a switch that can produce the power. This would be the best since I plan on having 6 cams at my house. I thought this setup was going to be cheap but now am finding it will cost me more than I wanted to spend. But however I work from my basement taking phone calls all days with a very small window to look out of. Having a virtual window to look out of so far has been great for my well being causing me not to feel as if I am in prison everyday while working. It got to me after 2 years of working. So I am looking also for higher resolution cams. I need wires. Best, Jay
Hey, since you have the 2mp 4x optical zoom version, could you tell me if they have the same body and zoom speed? I'm figuring out if I should go for the 2mp 4x optical zoom or the 5mp 20x optical zoom version
Just bought this based on you video and very happy with it. Do you knkw how I can access camhi via 4G ? It works fine on WiFi but not sure what I need to do to make it accessible over 4g. Thanks
@@Securitybros it works now , which leads to me more questions as to how it creates the bridge from the app to the camera considering I haven't installed anything on the camera and how secure is it. I also found software Onvifer which seems to work much better with this camera both with movement and image quality but haven't figured out how to get that to work over 4G yet as I dont get the option to scan and set up the QR code (maybe in the paid version it has the option ).
There are a ton of variations of this type of cam. They all look alike, but stops there. I just got a model that is just like the one here, but it's PoE, NO audio, memory card, or wifi. Software is terrible though. This replaces a cam like it but took a dump after a year. Other's have said: Great hardware, piss poor software and not secure! Only works on old outdated IE 11 and get security warnings up the ying/yang! It's a sub $200.00 camera. Use local only and block access to internet!
