I wanted to contact SAFT to let them know about this video, but they have not responded to any of my attempts. It's a shame. :-(
In my father's legacy, I found a SAFT lithium battery from 1983. Does it still hold any charge after these 4 decades? And can SAFT's quality truly stand the test of time? Dive in with me to uncover this intriguing find. Could this be one of the longest-lasting batteries? Watch this video and find out!

I used to have these exact cells on memory boards that, for unimportant reasons, ended up in my hands. I'm not surprised, they lasted ~20 years with an sram, provided that the board was thoroughly cleaned (water cleanable flux is quite conductive). My pet theory is that since they are potted, they are more resistant to moisture ingress than the button cells - though I never sawed one in half to see what they are on the inside.

Would you consider covering the computer in which this Li cell was intended for? The sram board is already very interesting.
