Don't put the ring on once it's sealed. It can kind of hold it down when it pops so you can't tell the seal broke

You don't need this. All you need is a pan, a stove and water. First of all, boil the water and put the jar in it upside down. Then when it's hot put your food in the jar, close it immediately and let it cool slowly while being stored upside down. If the contents are hot it will wok better. Hot air will expand, so when it cools down it sucks the lid shut. But to reseal a jar is hard with this method and not really needed I think.

If you pour the sauce into a ball Mason jar, then seal it. It will work. But still keep it in the refrigerator.

For the tomato sauce(spaghetti sauce). I end up doubling the contents because of other ingredients. So I put the hot sauce back in the jar and I close as I press down on the pop area. Then I stick it in the fridge and the top goes back to virgin state.

I would try and use this for small resin projects.

That's only gonna work with already kinda nonperishable stuff like candy fo chips. Otherwise you gotta boil it with like fruits veggies and meats to be able to store them at room temp

Technically your water won’t be safe to drink forever like that. The only true way is to pressure can the water. The heat sterilization combined with the air tight seal together make it safe. All you did was trap in what is already in that water and it will become unsafe over time.

Does the unit shut off automatically once a suction is drawn or do you have to manually do it? Thanks for posting

Just put a new lid on the tomato sauce jar or the sauce into a regular canning jar. Also is that one only one size?

Much more fun to try this on a jar of mini marshmallows. Leave the ring off tho, store sealed can goods with just the top, no ring. Use one end of a bottle opener to gently break the seal and lift & the lid.
