very interesting thanks ! and I got super impressed by the Impossible and the frontside kickflip. The way you worked on your kite on the waves was super interesting as well.
Reece, what was the wind range for the Flite 14.5m Flite kite at Carbo Verde? What is your verdict of the 14,5m Aluula Flite compared with any other of same size?
On my surfboard I was going in as light as 5 knots and can easily hold it down up to 15-18 knots. I'm about 165 lbs. Between the Aluula Flite 14.5 and the Dacron Flite 14.5 , the most noticeable differences was how the Aluula kite does not luff over on wipe outs and it responds to your bar inputs much quicker. It felt like the Aluula basically flies itself in a way.
Enjoy seeing Reece shred waves and nail strapless freestyle, but also want to see lots of wide or drone shots with the Aluula kite in the frame too, please. Want to see how it drifts if you charge down a wave face right at it and slack the lines, etc ...
Hey, You can actually see how it drifts at around 2:11 and 3:10 , Kite drift in waves is actually how well the kite drives through the air during bottom turns when you have no line tension. Riding directly at the kite is usually limited to the wind speed and I wouldn't really consider this "drift". Watch the kite during the bottom turns and you can see the lines go slack and how the kite drifts.
Hey Jeroen, Ya some people really enjoy the roam for TT. Specially in high winds because its so stable. Although it's not a big jumping kite, the low aspect shape really effects hangtime, and height.
@@reeces_shredlab Reece you're a stud. Thank you sir! And nice kiting! The Aluula looks like it will be an amazing development in the industry. Gotta love new materials.
Wish he talked a bit more about the difference he felt between Roam and Flite. The Roam I find doesn't sit forward enough in the wind window for me so hoping the Flite I ordered does that. With little bit sacrificed in maneuverability vs Roam.
Hmmm,, I think you might get a little more wind range out of the 12m! 14.5 is great in 7-8 knots , but any more than that on a foil and you'll be totally lit!! Haha
Nice and interesting video ! How much pression do you put to pump the kite ? 8-10 PSI or much more because the Aluula frame can take it and therefore is a factor in the increased rigidity ? Keep going with your good work !
Whoa so the 10(with allula) is a roam and the biggest roam is a 12.. so the model.of the 14.5 is just called allula.. really want a roam drift type kite but want a 14/15 size as im 220lbs.. but ya made that 14.5 lool.good in wave conditions too!
