I have a lot of sun damage on my left arm from driving with the window open and my arm hanging out for 40 years. The arm covers actually work and keep my arms from getting burnt or torn up when I work in my yard. They actually work well for me. I did buy mine from Amazon though. I can finally work in my garden without long sleeves!

I'm an optometrist, and the sunglasses looked like it is a pair of "fit over". They are supposed to fit over your normal pair of glasses. Also, you can check the polarization with another pair of polarized sunglasses. One pair in front of the other and move them like a pair of siccors. That is a much more accurate test. If they are both polarized, they will close out all light when you move them. Hope it make sense. Love your content.

I do have some of these items from Temu, I just opened another package I just got while watching this one, I paused at 19:45 at the spiralizer, my wife loves that thing, you put a finger in the circle and just spin it around, she uses it on potatoes and it works amazing. 👋🤠 P.S. it is meant to make the slices thin, you do not have to press hard like he did, with a finger, you turn it and the threads do the work for you.
@kikixchannel
@kikixchannel 21 день назад
He pushed it all in at first, so there were no 'threads' to speak of. After that, he just instantly starting pushing it down, so again, he would gouge the inside out the entire time. That being said, I'm not sure I would trust that plastic to have contact with food. The design itself certainly works (he just used it wrong), but the material may not be a good idea to use with things that may contain acids or alkali.

He loves them. He only needs them for the left arm, so he can switch them out when needed. Also some of the places that he has to pick up or drop off requires long sleeves and this is a good solution to not have to go and change your shirt just to check in.

Covering your arms from sunlight is good. People with poor motor skills, lack of dexterity, arthritis... plenty of reasons why someone might want a tool over trying to use a knife (where the knife will need more actual work than some of these tools). Also, these tools are made to peel/do just the skin. A knife is easy to take "more of the flesh" than you mean to. Like peeling potatoes with a peeler vs a knife - peeler will get just the skin more often than not.
@kikixchannel
@kikixchannel 21 день назад
These tools, or rather, tools like that, do it faster and easier. For example that spiral thingy. In a restaurant that decided to use such spiral design for a popular dish, using a knife can bring largely different results. Using a (good) tool for that will give out consistent result with little skill and quickly. It's exactly how you don't really need a bunch of different wrenches, instead using just one adjustable spanner. But anyone that does any serious work will prefer wrenches because once you do have the right wrench, it will make the job easier and better. If someone has the space in their kitchen and likes doing various stuff in it? Sure, why not. But for anything sharp (and in fact, anything in contact with food), it's better to not buy anything super cheap. Buy at least 'entry level' quality, like the stuff you can find in actual specialty shops like Ikea. Plastic has such a vast variety to it and vast majority of them are extremely toxic and actually dissolve when in contact with some food (like fruit juices!). You're already drinking plastic when buying bottled drinks. Avoid eating even more (and more toxic version) by buying extremely cheap stuff like that. Likewise, for things meant to be sharp, it is far easier to cut yourself with the 'sharp' things that are not that sharp. The sharper the blade is the less likely you are to cut yourself, since you can use less strength, and that means, you will have more control over it at all times. So...All the food products here? Probably a pass, even the ones that work as advertised (due to likely toxic materials). Products like that, but made from food-grade stainless steel for example? Sure.

The Soda Topper thing is only good if you can backhand the soda it covers off the counter, and it doesn't pop off and send coke flying when it hits the floor. That's extreme, though, maybe lightly knock it on its side and leave it like that for 10 minutes. Otherwise, it's not superb for children's parties, much less their rooms... Also, the whole plastic stuff from Temo for humans to fix to the top of their soda cans kind of means the rest of what I said was redundant, because you don't want to have that plastic touch any of your orifices, or swallow part of it. 10/10 I know what I'm doing for Christmas.

I would think the steering wheel cover will work better when put on before the wheel is hot, because putting it on when the wheel is already got well... The cover is going to act as more of an insulator. It's doing anything to actively cool things.

The stretch lids if you look at the circles on the lids that shows how big of a diameter of bowl or whatever you are trying to cover it fits. The smallest one will fit the coke can and soup cans and some smaller bowls. The larger lid will fit many larger bowls. I have a set I love it.

I don't think it does work. I think it's so cheap it won't cut unless he puts pressure on it. The real ones are metal and sharp. Temu is cheap and plastic.
@kikixchannel
@kikixchannel 21 день назад
@@ASMR-Arboretum It does work. He literally showed it does. He just pushed it with force all the way in, so the threads had nothing to grab onto the first time (hence why the first spiral broke of after two circles...the spiral had nothing to hold onto if he squashed it all). After that, he would instantly wreck the center again by pushing it in at an angle. Plastic can be very sharp. More than sharp enough to cut things that you bite into. Now, whether this plastic is safe for contact with food and how long it would last...that's another debate.

Sometime times I have nails and sometimes not so opening a pop top can be “interesting”! I found that a soup spoon from my regular utensil set works perfectly to open a pop top! Ans it really works well for people with hand issues (like older people, etc.). And it’s not a piece of cheap plastic!

Put a long spoon handle, spoon end up, through the hole on the egg separator handle. Hange the spoon handle off the edge of the counter. Now you have an anchor to keep the separator on the bowl. I hope that makes sense.

I uave multiple of these, in various sizes, all the way up to ones that make D20 shaped cubes the size of a billards ball, ALL work the same way, you fill it through the hole to actually make the shape.

Those ones are designed to be filled from the top. These smaller ones aren't. I can only imagine how long it would take to fill this one from the top. We had some when I was a child (25ish years ago) and the written instructions actually said to fill and press. Granted, it also said how much liquid was required so it didn't squirt out the top at force

The steering wheel cover wasn't a valid test since you started out with a hot steering wheel and the cover only trapped the heat in. You needed to start with a cool steering wheel and see if the cover kept it from getting hot. The spatula is for eggs with no broken yolks that you need to flip and not break the yolk. My mother bought one in the 70s which I have now and just used last night. It works great for what it was made for which was flipping eggs with an unbroken yolk.

Obviously it's to be expected from Temu, but incase some don't know, their products can be very toxic. For example some of their products were found to have high levels of heavy metals in them which can cause serious health problems. I'd be sure to throw these products out afterwards, especially ones that your wear or come in contact with food.

The sleeves seem to be ice silk which is a new material the Chinese came out with several years ago. It’s a more breathable material. They also make underwear with it and they are very comfortable and you don’t sweat as much and they dry fast.
