Steph talking about her brows honestly has me nearly wetting myself, she's honestly just so funny and one of the most down to earth youtuber out there💜
I'm Gen X so to me Elf is like the "new Wet n Wild" lol but I've always thought Elf was overpriced for quality and overhyped for pricing smh. Here in the US I find it at the Dollar Tree often and Big Lots even has a dedicated Elf display lol. Just like Wet n Wild.. I'll only pick it up at Dollar Tree for $1 😬
@@kyky8862 I'm in Tassie and Kmart stock elf and I've watched the price escalation since tt vibed it up, purchased a few things and wasn't sure of the hype🤷♀️🤷♀️🤔
I legit see no issue with that base. Obviously you’re the pro but I think personally you look amazing. It looks nice and healthy, glowy from where I’m sitting💕
ahhh thank you!! i think i've realised recently that i'm just SO bloody picky with bases hahah 😂 i think i'm lucky because my skin is generally pretty good so when it doesn't meet my expactations i'm like WAAA hahah xx
@@stephanietoms kinda shook that u replied lol💕!! Yeah it’s whatever you’re comfortable with but from an outside perspective your makeup always looks gorgeous and I’m jealous hahah xx
Honestly the best products I've tried from Elf were the putty primers, the primer infused blush and bronzer, the chocolate mint bite-size palette from the mint melt collection, and the liquid glitter eyeshadows! 👍🏻
I swear it’s cause you’re hungover! Any time I try and do my makeup after drinking the night before it looks sooooo dry. I would definitely try them again!
The halo glow powder is the best setting powder I’ve ever tried. I’ve got dry skin and I’ve been through many tubs of it. I think you need to try it again over your favourite foundation. 💕
The halo glos doesn't like my skin at all. I wanted to love it so bad, but my face turns into a cakey mess inside of 2 hours. But everyone I hear mention it absolutely loves it..
@@LishaMaria2009 I’m so sorry it doesn’t work for you. Do bare in mind that everyone preps skin differently and I do feel it makes a big difference? And also what foundation you are using too 💕
Superdrug has a range called trichology for scalp problems like eczema, psoriasis, general dandruff etc and the rebalancing tonic is a game changer. You apply it to wet hair and leave it in and it makes such a difference to psoriasis, especially round the hairline!
Every time i've ever tried the "spray the brush with setting spray" technique with eyeshadow, it turns into a chunky curdled mess that slides off my eyelids within an hour.
I had the exact same problem with the foundation. It didn't stick to my nose and highlighted dry patches I never knew I had! Been really enjoying ELF skincare though. Particularly the cleansing balm and face wash x
I’m late watching this, but the Amika reset shampoo is good for the scalp. Because it clears any product from your skin. Apple cider vinegar can help too, if it’s itching. Or apply aloe Vera, put it in over night and wash your hair in the morning xx
I have the camo cc cream and I don’t love it by itself, however, I mixed it with a different foundation that was too oily for me and I absolutely love the combo. Lasts all day and looks amazing 😊❤️
I'm iffy about elf products as well, I do however love their hydrate concealer. And it's affordable, BUT again I'm matte girl but love a dewy look that looks hydrating not dry and caked. And Steph loves her dewy hydrate look.💋 Love the review 🙂
tried the putty bronzer in bronzed belle and thought it was going to be a lot darker/more pigmented because it looks hella dark in the pot, ended up being quite light.. blends nice tho
so, i worked with adults with developmental disabilities, when one of my clients had psoriasis behind his ears and on the top of his head, he was bald, but we used a combination of jojoba oil and coconut oil and it cleared it in a day or two, just be sure to use it regularly with a flair up.
I got my notification. Can't wait to watch the video! Edit: I can't use the concealer. I'm 51 and it makes me look like I am 101. I do like the powder but I use it very sparingly. I'm trying out the blush and bronzer cream. I tried the liquid glitter once. Nope. Not only did I have lots of fallout but again and made my eyes look worse. I use the other mini eyeshadow and do my eyes first. I have not tried the mint one but I've seen reviews that say it is not the same quality as the regular mini's. Most of the other stuff I have not tried so I can't give an opinion on it. But you tried! I think you had the same experience as a lot of people. Hope you have gotten rid of your hangover! Love your videos! 💓💓💓
first thing i wondered was if you had any moisturizer on and second thing was your base could look the way it is because you're hungover, drinking dehydrates you and draws moisture from where ever it can in your body so it would make sense that your skin would be dehydrated. as an esthetician that's where my mind went.
Psoriasis scalp suferer for about 20odd years, ingesting tumeric daily can help, but im the same with creams etc as its on my scalp. Found anxiety and stress can make it worse but best shampoo iv found is Shea Moisture - Jamacian black castor oil. Doesnt lather up much but iv found its calmed things down and i dont have big scales now ❤🖤
I bought the CC cream and regretted it almost instantly. Looked nice for 5 mins then separated and went really textured. Tried w and without primer but does not look good on my skin at all. Glad I’m not the only one who has struggled with it!
I have oily to normal skin and that CC cream looks caked and dry on me! BUT try the camp concealer as a foundation. I love how it looks on my face. Medium coverage and a nice glow. Doesn’t work under my eyes though.
I use scent, colour and fragrance free shampoo and conditioner. I also use a shampoo scrub when my scalp is OK it helps keep at bay, but make sure the scrub is good for sensitive scalps. Hope it helps. I'm having issues at the moment too xxx
I’m surprised you dislike the powder. I love it and find it to be beautiful on my skin. I don’t use a lot of powder though and always press it into the back of my hand first. I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you but the putty bronzers are beautiful. If your expecting Huda beauty tantour you’ll be disappointed. It’s very natural looking for makeup at least and layers beautifully.
Beautiful as always! I would say my body was 70% covered in psoriasis, I tried all the creams, lotions and positions then I went to see a dermatologist who recommended consentyx. Now I don’t have ANY psoriasis, I don’t know if you know but it is actually linked to arthritis and you may start to get symptoms of that if you haven’t already and the medication actually helps with that too 💜
Happy Tuesday Steph, I think that the cc cream looked fantastic, but you could see when you put the concealer on, it start d to look dry. Love the vid 🥰
For psoriasis on the scalp, I use a foam with betamethasone in it. The name here is Deflatop. I'm from Germany so unfortunately I don't know what the product is called in the UK but it's amazing. You put it on your scalp after washing your hair and it will not influence the texture of your hair or make it more greasy. It's only available in pharmacies though. Another tip is using heel balm on the areas where you have psoriasis outbreaks (not on the scalp obviously) and trying different shampoos until you find one that doesn't irritate your scalp too much. Also taking skin health supplements (folate, selenium, etc.) can help as well.
My husband uses Nizoral cream for his skin and it’s a life saver, plus you can get it in shampoo form. When he uses the shampoo he rubs the excess over the issue areas on his face too and it clears it all up so this would be perfect for you to use on the hairline. Literally the only thing that fixes his skin.
I have nothing but good experiences with elf products and a lot of my everyday/holy grails are elf items😅 I have very dry skin so I use an extremely moisturising primer and the elf putty primer before the CC cream and I don’t go in with too much since you only need a little because of how full coverage it is and it doesn’t look cakey at all. Hate the elf camo concealer but looove the elf hydrating concealer!! I fill in my brows with an elf brow kit that has a wax and a powder in it but I don’t really use the powder. I think if you bought the elf bite size eyeshadow pallets in different shades you would really enjoy them because the quality for the price is amazing!! You should also try the bite size blushes, they’re soo good! Something I do to make sure my base doesn’t look crusty no matter what products I’m using is spray my face with setting spray in between layers of powder, so after I’ve set my base with setting powder I go in with setting spray and after applying blush, bronzer and highlight I go in with setting spray again and do mascara last
You did well to save it! I would have took a hissy fit washed my face and never spoke of the video 😂 so good for you for keeping it real and embracing when things don’t go to plan
For psoriasis people- the Kristen Ess bubble scalp mask is great, and the Philip Kingsley Flaky Itchy Scalp Toner is good for top ups until the next wash. I also have been using Dr Organic Coffee Anti-Dandruff Shampoo from Holland and Barrett and it's been holding up well.
I agree with Steph. I think the elf hydrating camo concealer, cream blushes, and cream bronzers are the best. Not a huge fan of the camo cc cream even tho I have oily skin. It feels a bit cake-y. The eye shadows are very disappointing.
I tried that foundation and I think it was too heavy for my skin type as I looked like I was shedding within 20mins of putting my base on. I'm now in love with a random No.7 one that I bought on a whim x
I LOVE E.L.F. but I have the exact same issues with the cc-cream and the translucent powder as you do. Dry-ness with the powder and the foundation just won't stick to my skin, no matter the primer (or without). WIth a foundation that actually works for me, the putty bronzer and blush look beautiful though! I really recommend those!
Mixing the camo cc cream with some moisturizer is how I apply it. It doesn't look near as cakey and I lightly set it with powder and setting spray. I have oily skin and it works well.
I love ELF, but I have tried my CC foundation a few times and have hated it every time regardless of the other products I use with it. It transfers and breaks down like a mother. The Halo powder isn't bad, but far from my favorite, and as you found is dry for under the eyes.
Try apple cider vinegar on the flakies.... put in in a spray bottle in the shower for after conditoner.... or mix half with water and use as a toner any time.
I have EXACTLY the same psoriasis symptoms - not super bad, around my hairline and ears a bit. I recently started using Neutrogena T-Gel Extra Strength shampoo, and have seen improvement! It doesn’t smell great, and I wash my hair once or twice a week. I’ll lather it on and leave a few min before rinsing, making sure to gently massage it where the psoriasis is. Then I’ll repeat. To make my hair smell better, I’ll then lather with a good smelling shampoo (but not where the psoriasis is, mostly just the length of my hair). I don’t use conditioner but using a good smelling conditioner would be good also. I totally get the whole “psoriasis cream in the hairline makes hair look icky”. Salicylic acid is the active ingredient in many psoriasis creams so if you can search out a more lightweight cream that has salicylic acid - try the acne section - it won’t be icky along your hairline. Perhaps the little tubes of salicylic acid acne spot treatment would be good. Those are typically a super light formula, avoiding the heavy greasy feeling that “psoriasis dedicated” creams have. If you can apply that right after showering, when your skin is still moist, that’s the best time to do it.
For psoriasis on your scalp, see if your GP will give you Calasal shampoo, it stinks but helps keep mine at bay once its been cleared up. To clear up Sebco gel (also prescription) is amazing but is realllly thick so needs to be done on hair washing day!
Elf’s CC is so full coverage. I applied too much and wasn’t a fan of it at first…but then I did only half a pump and paired it with light concealer. It also needs a silky powder; it gets a bit flaky on me too.
I agree that the CC Camo makes the skin look cakey on me too, although so many people love it and compare it to It cosmetics CC cream. In my opinion it is not compareble, the It one is my favourite and looks great but the elf does not. Overall though I do like Elf in general and use a lot of their makeup! I think you looked great as always! Big hug to you 😘
Hey Steph, absolutely love you, your just so natural in all your vidoes, and your always entertaining to watch! 🤗 Even though these products didn't really work out like you wanted the end look was still really beautiful 💖 thanks for sharing this with us
Steph! 😱 I get a notification of your video but it doesn’t show up on the feed even when i refresh 😒 stupid RU-vid! Love you so much & even with bad makeup you always look gorgeous 🥺🌸
I have had psoriasis for 15 years (since age of 7) only thing that has ever cleared it for me is sun beds. You can get cheap hand held UV lights. Use it for a minute or so a day
I enjoy this cc cream mixed with the auric glow stuff or the Charlotte tilbury Hollywood flawless filter stuff. It makes it less matte and you use less to cover your face so it's not cake face.
The jalapeno bite sized eyeshadow works SO much better than the mint one. It's hit or miss with them which is sad. It's a shame you didn't pick that one up.
I have really bad psoriasis my self and I’ve found that the Philip Kingsley itchy scalp tonic works really well along with the shampoo as well hope this helps you xx
My ex has a bad case of psoriasis.... and sometimes he drank a small amount of fruit-juice concentrate... it worked for him.. but as a RN I can not recommend it 😇 beautiful work as always Steph❤
Oh hun this was not a good day for you 😂 I use the hydrating camo concealer and really like it actually and I set it with the lottie London powder which goes nicely together
Tip for psoriasis: Coconut oil Dermatologists recommend using it, nice thing is you can use it anywhere on your body and works well! Good luck to you 🙏💕
Hey Steph, can you please try the new hydra palettes in the creator makeup range by revolution ?? I want them so badly, but i want to assure they are good first. Thank you, lots of love from Portugal
