I like these changes. Even if they're not going to be completely balanced off the rip, the game needs some life pumped into it. This gets me excited to play.
I mean we all wanted a season of "revive the game and make it good again you idiots" and now we got it and I think these changes sound and look fucking amazing! I honestly dont care about a new legend, weapon or BR map since those things never really changed the core gameplay and now every legend has a chance to be somewhat fun to be played again! I think that is the biggest win we had in a while! I can't wait to play the new season!
36:00 I like the caustic healing inside of his gas especially since it's lore accurate, seeing that he created the gas as a cure for his cancer diagnosis
Its also insanely busted. I cannot wait. Because players have enough of a hard time fighting you in the gas as is. With Fortified AND self healing. I am glad I picked Gas Daddy as my main right now. Fighting in the gas is gonna be a boss fight for them. Imagine the ULT range upgrade with 3 cans in a small room. Might as well give me a healer drone.
I love this. It makes every legend viable. Even bad legends now are viable. It addresses a lot of stuff we've been asking for and it gives us so much more flexibility in each legend. Huge W for Respawn.
@FATCHQDE I do think you're right in that there are some broke legends (Conduit immediately comes to mind) and movement will always be king. But there are absolutely some bad legends. Ballistic is bad. Vantage and Seer still need some help. They're not awful, but if you play one of those legends, you're immediately at a disadvantage against a team carrying Horizon, Rev, and Conduit.
@FATCHQDE Movement characters are not "broken". You only think that because only the fucking crackhead sweaty gamers use them. In reality, their abilities are mostly kinda shit lol.
the problem with the Crypto change is that now he has to be even further from his drone to avoid emp damage effectively making it harder to stay close to team. He should have a perk that makes him immune to emp.
But dont think of the ult as a pushing tool, think of it as a attrition tool, its bigger so you hit say 6 people, they all have to use a batts or cells, they finish there fight they use more batt and cells, you have the other ult perk that makes it faster, so you ult them again, so now they use more healin stuff, when you chose to fight them they have no batts or cells left
@@ollieyoung The only way that would work is if you had an inventory of ult accels and you griefed every fight you saw. And even then, not the best way to play Crypto. As long as Crypto keeps taking self damage from ult, that ult size is just a little too big to be beneficially useful. Doing 150 damage at the cost of 50 to yourself is not that great. In order to burn a teams heals you would need to emp them at least 3+times which is 6 ult accels plus a little time between each emp. That's 6 bag slots to attrition 1 team...
as a crypto main im pretty disappointed. the ult range was insane but now that you say it, he should def be immune to it. his first perk is pretty wack too.
@@xDaRkIcEx4 at least the patch notes say he will recall, enter, and exit drone faster but we will see tomorrow how it actually plays out. It's become obvious to me no one at Respawn seem to understand or pay attention to Crypto because most of their player base doesn't play him anyway. There is very little dedicated high skill Crypto players and even when the pros play Crypto, they look like total noobs the way they use his abilities (obviously their skill carries them anyway).
btw you didnt use octains other lv 3 perk correctly the perk affects the jump pads u place down AFTER u get the perk (the jump pad will look red when used correctly)
If amped reloads work for teammates too I'm gonna freak out. That rampart perk is insane, doesn't matter how fast you can move and spin up with Sheila choosing the other perk, this is a must-pick for me anyway. This is gonna be fun for sure
I thought about the idea of giving legends the ability to upgrade their abilities a while ago, stoked to see it's actually being implemented into the game. I predict a team composition of Ash, Loba and Catalyst in ALGS especially after these changes remember you heard it here first 😂 . Also as much as I personally love these changes I do think it will discourage even more fresh and new players who already struggle with the game, as skilled players are getting rewarded with better upgrades quicker, but then you could argue that if your struggling with the game that much maybe it's not the game for you.
For ballistic they should have literally made one of his perks an ability to put any attachment on guns, itd be good for loot economy . Then you could have sniper stocks on smgs and digithreat on ARs. I think itd fit well with his weapon enhancement kit/character
You can move out of it after a few seconds like normal. The dummy isn't moving which is why they're being tethered for 24 seconds. What makes it good is you can use it as a trap to heal and stop a squad from pushing you if you're healing or protecting your teammates so I'm excited
@@infamous0113I think you are right. Looks like it stays for 24 seconds no matter what but enemies can be tethered only for a short time. Am I tripping or does the tether timeframe seems less then what it is now a couple of seconds?
I think instead of Loba having a farther throw, her ring should travel faster, right now -especially as someone who solo queues, my problem is getting out of fights fast when teammates are knocked, a farther throw just means waiting longer
nicewigg.... you didn't actually throw octanes ult with the "change direction with double jump" on. its a completely different colored jump pad and it is pretty effective actually.
If you pick increased tac range for conduit doesn’t that mean you’re sacrificing actually being caught up with your team. The passive works if you’re out of range of your teammates but if you increase the range then your passive is essentially useless
I can see it being useful if you're trying to split hold a POI or something, but tbf the passive isn't especially useful in the first place with a competent squad. If you're playing with a random Octane and Pathfinder, though...
@@LukeJLB sorry for late reply. That’s fine and all but now it seems like she needs a new passive or a new perk if they’re just gonna interrupt each other
This is such a smart way to address feedback and add buffs to legends instead of reworking and see how it turns out. Really out did themselves with this season, got a lot of people to shut up about complaints lmao
I'm glad some of the perks are boring or meh for characters that are already pretty strong. It helps the underplayed characters get a good boost to their play.
This is so damn cool! My favorite part of apex is when stuff is broken or you can take something that’s seemingly mid and pop off with it! Apex won’t be the same it’ll be better!
I wish they waited to start pro league after these changes were implemented. This is such a wrench in the middle of the season. But I can’t wait to watch how this plays out. Gonna be wild!
I was thinking that, like are they just gonna stick with the gameplay mechanics that they have now? Or are they gonna switch to the new one? I feel like it’s unlikely that they switch because pros will have to figure out what is meta
@@romanrules007 the good thing is they gave almost a month before next pro date, last one is this weekend and then not until first week of March. So they clearly saw this change coming which is why the algs schedule has such a long break in between match day 5 and 6. But this new change is so crazy, that it will take so long to figure out what works best
Week 1 player here and I just want to give props to Respawn for taking such a big risk with these changes, the game desperately needed it. Even if it ends up not working out at first, it's better than the staleness we've had for a long time. This update has to be the biggest shakeup in apex history.
Lifeline and conduit seem really good, if you play fuse you don't need to worry about ammo on your secondary if you have a lifeline and can carry way more nades. 1v1ing a conduit with 2 tactical is going to be super annoying.
@@kavid8120 that’s just the upgrade. she’s getting an overall base nerf as well which will more than likely increase her cooldown or slow her heal time imo
@@CHIBBY_E I main caustic and happy about his too but since I main caustic Maggie tends to be my counter and the chaos she can cause by using a tac on the door one on the side and throwing her ult in is insane. She is a tactical nightmare now
Gibby definitely will have Gold Knockdown Shield priority this Season. BUT Mirage WITH Gold Knockdown Shield gives your teammate FULL HP and extra shields. And New Castle too… revives in general got buffed its insane! Interesting 🤔
Wow. I just realized I was watching wigg. Haven’t watched your content in 5 years and did not recognize you. Clicked on first video for season 20 that popped up.
@@kavid8120 personally I’m just happy she will get that better handling and longer jet pack duration. What made her enjoyable was her ability to maneuver in the air. When she got nerfed, she got slower and made it easy to shoot her down. Now she will be an actual movement legend again
As a rev main i feel like the tac charge rate is better than the knock on cooldown, no? Takes ages to fully charge it and unless they changed it in your ult it's a low cd and you get your tac back after knock anyways.
8:45 that Ash stun? The chain brakes after like 6seconds so you can escape but you’re only really stunned fully whilst inside her Q it’s a good attachment tho
I don't know if this is a glitch in fire range but ashes 24s arc snare upgrade seems to shoot out a second snare to chase and catch somone else that is near the first person to get snared
He had should try 20% faster revive with self revive to know if it workes together or not, but it will be nice to see how the game will be changing in season 20
That would be broken dude. You know how many Pros are good at sniping ? Having a Mini Kraber with 8 shots in your Inventory with huge High Ground advantage is not gonnna be fair.
Bruh, people dont realize that Mirage can have UNLIMITED decoys. The ult charge is already fast, but add it with the -30sec cool down and the bamboozle bonus. You got yourself unlimited decoys. He's lowkey op, haha. If someone shoots your decoy, you instantly get another decoy to dish out. Lol crazy!
Octanes level 3 perk the change direction. Means octane will throw out a Red jump pad. This jump pad will be what gives controller players the "tap strafe" ability.
Yea because changing direction in mid air how Wigg did it is useless because you’re a sitting duck and in High ranks you’re dead 99% of the time…being able to land and instantly change direction is so fucking huge because it literally lets your team escape danger by making that corner turn needed for cover. Or making that turn to surprise attack a team around the corner
I’m not gonna lie with cryptos perks he is more fun to play cause the perks I pick are his reduced cooldown on his ult and then increased range on the temp and it’s fun 😊
They definitely going to nerf rampart perk faster reloads because that is going to be a big problem especially end game. I shouldn't be complaining tho because i main her lol
Ramparts wall is still 2 seconds. Just faster reload. You should've did LMG reloads behind it since she already has the passive that gives her quick reloads on LMGs
I don't know if these skills are going to be balanced off rip and I don't even care. I'm glad respawn FINALLY acknowledged and addressed the game was in a lull and it needed some life pumped into it. Rare respawn W.
wraith with the most useless passive that hasn’t been touched since launch getting a terrible yet better passive as an upgrade is a literal slap in the face. that upgrade should be part of her base passive.
