On the eve of the Final Five Showdown at Lower Trestles, we tested Filipe Toledo's winning design. Here is unholypyotato's review of Sharp Eye Surfboards' Inferno FT.
I had a HT2 and the same problem going backside, exactly how you described it. Was really annoying because it was probably the most fun board i've ever had frontside but was just bizzare backside, tried loads of different fins but could get it to stop slipping out on bottom turns.
Did Toledo ride it in any event this year ?? Maybe the WSL had a word to him and didn't allow him to ride it because it's not a Thruster??? I wouldn't put it past them.
It’s just his fins which made it hard, going backside with a pivot fin and smaller quad rears doesn’t give you much drives and just pivots and is too loose, that can be the main reason
