I just wrote a comment, is it just me or does this seem incredibly dangerous???? why is he on such a small platform, them below him, no protection, etc. it seems horribly designed I thought many times they used cgi for this

I can tell you from first hand experience it does lmao I've cooked in restaurants for the passed 13 years and I can't tell you how many grape tomatoes and potatoes have been cut in half in mid air 😅

Truly trained swordsmen are much more accurate and swift with their art. I'm surprised they didn't invite a master swordsmen to see if they were a cut above the rest.

So, I recently started training with some truly skilled swordsmen. Last lesson I legit saw a dude casually throw a cut and hit a moving fly.

But they're both the faces of the show and if someone else is gonna test the myths for them they'd have no reason to be on screen or be involved

@@John-Doe-Yo I mean, they brought several experts on the show before. No reason not to do so here. Hell, Adam could represent the average person, and the trained swordsman could have been the way they ramp the test up, as they often did. They explain the experiment, we see what the swordsman can do, then they come back to explain the results. They are still the face, have a purpose, and we get to see what a trained swordsman can do. Which I promise would be super fun to see.

Need to try this with that working lightsaber that Hacksmith built, no need to worry about hitting the fruit with the edge of the katana if the entire sword is hot plasma!

I don't think it would actually make a significant difference. Fruit is insanely easy to cut through, you can do it with a very blunt blade and poor edge alignment.

I'm getting nervous seeing him swinging a sword wildly and quickly in a small circle with no protection, while people are right below him without protection. Why not a stable platform? This seems so dangerous! or is it just me???

I've studied Japanese martial arts for the last 20 years. Before even watching I know it's possible to slice fruit in mid air, but you're very likely to get juice in the eye or fruit in the face. The blade doesn't really effect their velocity or flight path too much. He's also not holding the katana correctly.
