I absolutely love lakme foundation 9to 5..it's been over 5 yrs nd I still never wsh to change.. sometimes it's good not to listen to influencers nd try it urself
I love Lakme's CC cream! I'm not a foundation person and when it comes to everyday getting ready routine, this works well if you put like small dots all over your face, more under the eyes and any other dark areas and then blend it in with your hands or beauty blender. I understand the challenge of shade, but for people for whom the shade matches their skintone this product does a decent job at evening out tone and making the skin look a bit glowy and prepped up.
@@rimikapanesar08 no ones saying that light skin people don’t exist in India. But it’s true that light skin people would be the minority if we look at the total population. Most people are brown to dark skinned
@@rimikapanesar08 Maybe you wear foundation that is too light for you, like most Indian women? Seeing your picture, I just can't imagine any of these shades matching you. They are light even by European definition, whereas you'd be considered medium to dark here in the UK like the majority of South Asians. Lakme caters to outdated beauty standards and I personally think it's not a good look.
My best friend has a rich skin tone and the other day she was telling me how she doesn’t use foundation or concealer only because she can’t find her shade. Being a makeup lover myself, I was so heartbroken. I’m gonna introduce her to some international brands now, they’re doing soo good when it comes to shade range :)
I am using this CC cream from past 3-4 years..... same shade Bronze 1. Firstly, u have to apply very little (pea size)... in dots all over ur face and then blend it nicely... give it a minute and it will disappear into the skin like nothing on ur face but still blurs out the imperfections. 2. There is one more shade 'Almond'...that would have matched ur skintone 3. Its my staple... i would request Lakme not to stop making it... i am a working women, cant use foundation every time i step outside.

Stop hating on her listen to what she is saying a brand representing should do a better job with their products she should be roasting and boycotting them. India is the land of brown beauty not fair and lovely regardless how much she used it shouldn’t give her a white cast I mean common even in North America we have more product representing us brown skin women then in India.

Even if I don't know more about makeup.. But the only cream I use as a makeup is this cream 03 shade.. it really gives a natural makeup look.. as you observed, it takes a minute to set and look good on you too and I suggest you to use a little amount of the product and use a little bit of moisturiser before applying the cream that is what I do.. It was really nice to watch though 😅❤
Absolutely to the point, love you Jovi❤️....i am proud of my brown colour ,it took a while to accept this but finally i am happy ...this the brand i have been hearing since my childhood and used almost every product and even went looking like that to every college function..now i see my old pictures and laugh...well, i have grown but brand hasn't.
This bronze shade suits exactly to my skin shade which looks natural also helps hiding my darks circles. I donot like applying foundations and concealer for everyday use so this cc cream is saviour, easy n quick to apply. The texure of this product is actually good, and a little amount can cover your whole face. Its sad that shade range is only for people between fair to medium. I wish they introduce more shades for more tan, dark and deep colours. I agree bronze was not your shade but also you applied it way too much that made it look even more worst.
Yeah that's called oxidising. It's because of the oil secretion on your face the color becomes darker. It's a problem when you actually have a cc or foundation that's actually your shade.
Honestly, I don't like cc cream.. I tried to use it in many ways..but I sometime I use it on my hands or just mix with highlighter and apply on my neck n around my collar bone when I wear off shoulder dress, aww, you just explained whatever I have experienced with this product... It's lovely 🌸
Product comes in 4 shades Beige honey bronze and almond (the darkest one in the range) I know the shade range is not enough oviously but it's way better than its competitors Garnier and ponds they comes in 1 or 2 shades If lakme introduce more shades in thi,it's an amazing product I have been using it since somewhat 3 years now and it's an amazing amazing product. Although if you are not using any tools to apply it,and just apply it with your hands like a moisturizer it applies the best. It do not washoff by sweat also gives a non-cakey base. Also preety much any concealer work best with it. It gives preety good coverage when compared to some other CC creams. So if you can find your shade in it,it's a really good product

There is a reason why I love her so much. She is not completely hostile towards a brand or totally bias towards a brands. If the product is good she appreciates it and the brand and if its bad she calls out on the brand and the product. Indeed one of the most honest and reliable content creater.
Hey Jovita! Love your videos!! I don't think the Ponds BB cream has been discontinued. My friend recently got it from a local store. There is another shade available: 02-Medium
As a rule by the Indian law, animal testing is not allowed on Indian brands. So by default Lakme does not test on animals making them cruelty free. But they’re not vegan.
Jovi, there is a BB Cream for brown girls like us but it isnt available in India. I used it alot in Dubai. Maybelline Dream BB Fresh, Shade Medium Deep Skin. For reference, I am the shade 330 in the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation range.

I don't actually like to put foundation on my face, so i was looking for a bb or cc cream and i saw there are four shades of lakme cc cream and i come to RU-vid for shade review. And i am exactly of your shade and i just find out that there is actually not a single indian brand which has a bb or cc cream that would suit my skin tone! This is very very frustrating! And for lakme though it was expected from this brand but it is high time for them to step up and do something different! I am actually very angry right now! I hate it when brands don't include diversity of indian skin tones and types. I use ponds bb cream.. you can build it up as full coverage also, it also sets in well after powdering.. but then also has shade range problem. They don't have it for even medium skin tones. My neck, chest and hands are fairer than my face.. My face is super oily and has combination of 3-4 shades from fair to medium skin tone and i too can't find my true foundation match. I'm struggling alot for that one perfect foundation in affordable range which could suit my skin type. Can't invest in different brands. Maybelline is good but i get acne after using that, had to give it to my cousin.
I think the color is beginning to oxidise on your skin, give it more time? And maybe it will oxidise more? But overall I still believe they need more shades

Hi jovita! Ive used 03 for the longest time till i plunged into full on make up.. the trick to use this is apply a little just like a moisturiser for the face.. it just makes your skin hydrated and natural :)

I have fair skin tone ,I bought this BB/CC(I have no idea whats the difference )Cream when I was in college..I used it n oh god ..forget looking flawless .. my face looked like I have painted something on my face...that was the last time I used that cream or any BB/CC cream ... I don’t even use Foundation now ... I can’t find my shade
I personally love Lakme CC cream and the 01 is a great match for me, as a fair skinned indian. But i really wish they expanded the shade range because the product quality is quite decent
The garnier cc cream, claims fairness but however it blends into our skin tone idk how. If anyone's into these tinted moisturisers.. try the garnier cc cream. Yes for my dusky skins!!!
I understand that shade wise it’s a big disappointment. Otherwise it works fantastic on my NC 35 skin tone. Whenever I use this product I get compliments.

Hey Jovita ma'am. Glad to find you rosting the most used bb cc cream by most of us to avoid foundation on daily basis. For my skin Honey shade matched well except the fact that it is quite dry for my dry skin had to set it with Maybelline fit me 330 compact. But I wire it for years to my office and was never that much disappointed though.
I use this and love this product. It cannot be used like a usual foundation. Only a lil bit is needed on cheekbones, forehead n chin, n spread using sponge. Quantity I use over 5 days can be seen on ur face now😂.
