I adore this hack by Psycho RFG and i'm proud to say that it's better than my own hack (which isn't really a hack to begin with), more of a redbook audio changed order, but I did also swap all the tracks out and replace them with cleaner arcade rips. I attempted to fix the music order and succeeded in all stages except ''The Pit'' and ''Goro's Lair'' as the ROM has the same track programmed to play on different levels so I couldn't do anything about it unless I actually hacked the ISO ROM but I don't know how and don't feel I ever need to now that this hacks has come about. This one by Psycho RFG actually fixes ''The Pit'' and ''Goro's Lair'' making it instantly better than mine and has slightly different colouring making it better all round. When I first downloaded this hack, it was cued with awful scratchy mp3 rips that sounded very crackly, so I had to replace them all with my own rips of the arcade soundtrack in order to fix the sound, good luck to anyone else who runs into that same issue. The only thing I dislike about this hack is that it won't work in my PAL Mega-CD unless I use my Mega EverDrive X7 to run the USA bios and I hate having to depend on my EverDrive for hacks and games outside the flashcart itself. I need to find one of those carts that allows American SEGA-CD games to boot on a PAL Mega-CD so I won't have to depend on the EverDrive. This game itself has excellent coding as running it on a PAL system doesn't screw up the FMV frame by frame frequency and the gameplay is still fully optimised when in 50Hz.
Some feedback: It's a great improvement and I would like to thank whoever did this but I noticed that the music track that plays during the fight with Shang tsung is very quiet and needs to be turned up.
As far as I remember, in the CD original and this one, it is a midi track, since they (Midway/Acclaim) could not keep streaming the music and the Shang Morphs at the same time, without it being a complete wreck.
@@MKKTeam thanks. My biggest issue is the hacker removing the text select your fighter and replacing it with his signature on the character select screen. That's kinda blemishing the overall presentation of the game. He mentioned himself in the opening text. Anyway to remove this and restoring the original text?
Hmmmm I dont know about programming, BUT... I do think we could modify a .cue file to get the right the sound order on the original unmodded game (not original copy obviously, but someone could hack a cheat for that?) Sure we would miss some color correction, but I can live with that. All of this is theory of course!
@@MKKTeam Color correction is only truly noticeable in the warrior shrine for me. Other's are not a big deal. The warrior shrine's new colors look way better than the original game.
1.The voice sample on uppercuts don’t play everytime 2. The same uppercut voice sample should be played on jump kicks & when hit by raiden’s torpido 3. Lui Kang should have the same voice sample for fireball & flying kick 4.sfx when hitting the bottom of the pit should have that big boom with the screen shaking 5.Shang tsung clap has no sound sample 6.wins has no audio sound sample
I wish for goro as playable boss character which can be accessed in between kano and sub zero, reptile is playable by highlighting scorpion as held a and press start to choose reptile.
I have my boss hack of the genesis version can you help me input shangtsung moves,special moves and morphs and fix reptile throw and fix the dark screen when finish him appears ?
Hey valentino I thought you said someone was already helping you fix your hack you told me to go to romhacking.net but I didn't find it on there let me guess you dont have the full skills to complete it yourself either why not get Kabal to help you the one who made the ultimate mortal kombat trilogy hack or smoke the one who made the mortal kombat 2 unlimited hack not sure if they would help though they haven't updated there hacks in quite some time

Yeaaaah, that's not going to happen, especially on a Sega CD with it's 1x CD read speed. Might as well play the Arcade, PC DOS, or Sega Genesis versions instead.
It's crazy that when it is emulated we get the same loading times. It doesn't happen with PS2 emulation for instance... or when using a modded ps2, loading times disappear when loading games off a hardrive in a fat ps2. So why not? This is software, so we should be able to get rid of loading times by software emulation, or playing off a hardisk on the real hardware. Though I imagine a only a genius could do that.
@@MKKTeam sub-zero's stance your saying the one he had in the mega drive where his hand is somewhat down by his side wasn't the original who cares about what a fighter's stance looks like anyway a characters stance doesn't have any effect on what they do
@@MKKTeam Ok what backgrounds were missing in the mega drive didn't you say there were some only backgrounds the original game had that I know of where goro's lair, warrior shrine, courtyard, palace gates, pit, shang tsung's throne room and pit bottom there weren't anymore backgrounds than that
Not backgrounds entirely. Details on those backgrounds. Like one entire row of monks in Courtyard. Shang Tsung animations on Throne Room, and CD has a better floor texture on Goros Lair. The game is indeed improved.
