Showing a fail using it as a warning for others is commendable. I think we all would do well testing our systems, and sooner rather than later. Thank you!

Thank you for watching! And for the very kind comment. I thought showing my “really cool” DIY still in action would be such an awesome “prepping” video, but when it failed I felt so foolish for having gone years without ever testing it. And then it hit me like a ton of bricks, what if this had been a real emergency?! I knew I had to find a way to finish the video and warn others to not repeat my mistake. I just wish more “prepping” related channels were reiterating this important advice. I’ve only seen like one other channel put out a similar message recently... Thanks again for watching!!! 👍😁

So if you really wanted clean water you could run it through the filter first then distill it. You should do that then send it to a lab and see what is left in the water

Another great video, not sure where you are, but the still idea would work well also on salt water to turn it to fresh water and have salt for drying meats. Would be another good video to make.

Thank you! I’m in North Texas, our property in East Texas. Not close to the coast…. But I did think it would make a decent desalinator as well. I even almost took it with us on our vacation to the beach a previous summer as part of our road-trip emergency supplies. 😂. But I hadn’t tested it yet, and my wife already wasn’t super thrilled with the amount of extra “stuff” I was loading in the car🤪😂. But now that you mention it, if I finish the modifications to fix and improve it, next time we go to the beach I will HAVE to bring it to see if it works as a desalinator👍😁. Thank you for the great idea! And my wife thanks you too, I’m sure😂😂😂
