Fantastic!! So glad something went your way Ibaisaic!! Congrats on this step closer to getting your Ensign Stealth 1!! I would LOVE to own a Sebo automatic X1 because even though I truly Love my Sebo Felix, I find changing the height a bit inconvenient. It doesn't help that my house is a mix of many floor and carpet types. Thanks for your awesome videos!
I have just got an x1 where the height adjuster seems always in the down position. When. Upright it’s clearly trying to adjust but doesn’t seem to be able to do it. It seems to struggle to go up to take the brush off the floor. I’ve heard of magnets being an issue, but not a clue where to start. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. My plan is to see if I can swap the hight adjuster from an old x4.
Hi Roger - did you ever get the Stealth working properly with the X1 parts? The quickest fix would just be to take the motor cover off the Stealth and put it on the X1! Cheers.
How does the automatic height adjuster work? Is it programmed to maintain a certain precise amount of tension on the brushroll? Not too weak to be too high, yet not too strong to be too low? Curious minds would like to know how Sebo's engineers approached the design challenge.....:-)
+Brian Torobin I believe it works by constanty measuring the resistance of the carpet against the brushroll and can compensate the adjustment as the brush wears. I have always found the brush doesn't go low enough for my needs, but the latest model has a boost button on the cleaning head that enables the brush to go lower for a deeper clean. I have one of the new boost models and will be testing it soon.
+ibaisaic Aha...I see. Pretty ingenious. It seems that the boost feature will please North Americans too - many users have complained that the Automatics never clean deep pile well due to the oversensitivity of the sensor.:-)
