Hells yeah, I did boxing and martial arts when I was 14 years old and still do it to this day and Im 31. Your body never forgets those first grueling hours of hardcore training in your discipline. Your muscles ache in places you didnt even know existed and the sheer level of concentration throughout it all is unreal

one of the things i love about Shaolin Kung Fu is how acrobatic and flashy it looks, but practically all it takes is to backfist someone in the side of the head as hard as you can and they will be become unconscious and suffer a TBI. there is a famous youtube video that is pretty old now where someone drills a drunk guy with a very fast backfist and sends him into an alternate reality. you can backfist someone so much harder than a normal punch. its right up there with a sumo slap knockout. seeing someone get completely knocked out with a slap makes you rethink what you know about fighting lol

His reactions to his fails is very relatable and I compare it to how I feel when I have to learn something new at work (which they are not paying me extra for) 🤣😅LMAO! Don't know how much you are still into doing your Shaolin stuff, but I would definitely like to see more of this to see how well you're still doing with it. The end test was very beautiful to watch.
Kung fu feels like it’s more about what you can do with your body rather than what you should do with your body. All these forms take your flexibility in the extreme so that you feel comfortable doing the in-between. Unlike most arts, it kind of leaves the fighting to the person, because it doesn’t actually give structure to proper punches, elbow strikes, knee, kicks, etc. It might actually dissolve that structure, and it is likely overwhelming at first since it’s kind of like unlearning. I do think there is some potential to that openness. I could be wrong, so feel free to correct me.

It's amazing how kung fu makes you aware of your entire body and the coordination you get from it (i never had a single day of any martial arts training in my life 😂) The fact you can still pull those moves regardless if they are not perfect, you deserve congrats on that alone. Besides it's been 10 years and you're a bit more buffed than back then. Good job bro
