I really don’t think Revolution needs this many lines tbh, literally releasing eyeshadow palettes every damn day - and this is coming from someone who loves eye makeup
While the company really does need to work on their stats, I don't think it can be ignored that they were one of the first companies to not only speak up about BLM but donate 10,000 to the MNF and also donate 10% of proceeds from this launch to black organizations. I feel like due to their collaborations with people like Tammie and Patricia and collaborating with black members on their staff for deeper skin tones they thought they were doing enough but now they realize they have more work to do.
You know what you're right! That can't go unnoticed and that's why I wasn't surprised but just slightly disappointed. This is what I am talking about 3% of people of colour working for your company and we are the first to always jump on their new releases to do a review, from what I know they have done only 2 collaboration with women of colour for now i wouldn't be buying anything from them i keep my money to myself.
Tbh revolution has done better incomparison to other brand, yes they can do better but if people still wish to review their products they can and Sydz did address her feelings at the beginning

That blush though😍. I tend to be heavy handed even when I am trying to go light so I think that I need to stay away from the blush lol. Your looked turned out really nice.
I have purposely not watched the reviews for this release of products, because I was scared I might like it. And during this shut in Retail Therapy is what I did to take my mind off of stuff. Packages are trickling in and my husband is giving me the side eye! Lol. Your Base looks Phenomenal to me, and I’m really interested in the Primer. Do you think it’s a dupe for the “Milk Hydro Grip” Primer? When you described how it felt it sounds like the Hydro Grip. I’m bronzer obsessed right now, so in spite of the fact that I’m waiting on the Charlotte Tilbury bronzer, I cannot wait to see this bronzer on you when you get the right shade. Excellent review!

This is a lewk, but I got burnt the last time I tried their concealer I looked like I was ready to be lowered 6 feet under 😭, defo want the palette the packaging is really pretty.

Way too pricey for me .. but the bronzers look promising tho!! Looking forward to seeing your video using the other foundation, but at £15 i may just stick with my NYX cant stop wont stop, or even the NYX born to glow at £10 which to me is the best drugstore foundation iv found so far
I tested the matt foundation in 13.7 but the undertone was a no. Not golden more olive but, it performed quite well on very oily skin and the setting spray was great. 55 shades and i couldn't find my shade! I bought a palette but, I'm returning it. I looked at it but it was a no.

I’ve seen a lot of your RU-vid videos on Revolution. In the US we have a few make up lines that African-American women can use such as, off the top of my head, L’Oreal, Cover girl, Revlon, Maybelline, Milani and more. Do you have several types of drugstore make up for African women UK African women?

3% is very poor, but we also have to consider all the other systems that prevent black people from knowing about their job opportunities if any. As a brand, I actually would still continue to support them but my focus remains on black owned beauty brands. Revolution has done a considerable amount to maintain equal representation of ethnicities with their product launches, especially if we factor in what the UK drugstore makeup aisle looked like before they ever launched. Now. Tammi and Patricia's collabs are nice, but I need them to now ramp it up. As for this xx line , theyve just launched. Please, I am tired, everyday new release 😭😂
Thanks for the review but the prices of this new luxe Revolution brand...🤔. The product look beautiful though and the packaging makes me want to part with my coins but maybe I'll just take baby steps first and start with the foundation, concealer and blush. The highlighter also looks good...so many decisions.
You should try the bronzer powder in the shade Spectre. It’s lighter than Aphotic and it’s got that beautiful red tone to it. We’re about the same shade and it works beautifully on me 😊

Going to be a LONG COMMENT, so I apologise Sydz!! I personally think that they could scrap Makeup Obsession and replace it with XX Revolution. Makeup Obsession is their sub-brand w Boots but w XX Rev, I think that's a little much now. Also, I get that Make-Obs is that customisable outlet of Revolution because you can switch their single pans around in the palettes but I think having that in Rev-Pro is more than enough. I think Revolution Beauty should rethink their sales, marketing and of course their team diversity I ❤️ Revolution - reminds me a lot of K-Beauty packaging, targetted towards teens and I personally think they should lower the prices a little more in this sub-brand to target makeup first timers Revolution - Standard Drugstore prices, their CORE brand with like their dupes/core products Revolution Pro - For makeup artists at affordable prices with good quality, should have MORE products geared towards artists and their work (disinfectants, brushes, disposable sponges, cases, etc) and the products in this line should be able to layout nicely on a work top for them. Basically kinda like makeup geek I guess? XX Revolution - The Boujie brand, think super luxurious and duping NARS. Super lux packaging, nice high end formulations, maybe throw in some handmade lashes Revolution Skincare/Hair Care/Body Care - Nuf said for this Tbh, I don't mind that Revolution has a lot of sub brands, I just think they should stick to the original intentions of each sub brand instead of releasing trendy things. Also, I feel like they should release PROPER collections/large seasonal releases instead of "here's 2 more eyeshadow palettes" out of the blue. Revolution has a dedicated consumer base so I doubt that any of their products will completely flop but releasing something every week is super overwhelming.

I'm the same. 73% are white that work for them. I get annoyed when black people say Black Lives Matter and don't support black owned make up brands but still give their money to the people that don't recruit black people. Makes no sense. It's different for Miss Sydz, myself and many others because we bought our products way before the publication of the statistics. It's opened my eyes to do my research on the company before purchasing from companies who don't care for a diverse workforce. It also annoys me more with Make-Up Revolution because they have so many make-up lines and that investment could of been invested in a diverse workforce not just thinking of profit margins. Thanks to Uoma beauty for setting up the campaign for make-up companies to step up. Now that's BLACK POWER 🖤✊🏾. Wyclef Jean which has nothing to do with make-up uploaded his statistics (music company). Sleek Make-Up has 0% of black people working for them. They said that they know they need to do better. I was sooo shocked. We still waiting for Juvia's place and Nars to release figures. People are asking but they still remain silent. 2020 is the year of revelation, reflection and justice for all.

I always say this about eyeshadow lol I just don't like it 😫 Ooooooooh! Good question! I think the new blushes from xx rev are more pigmented! Way more pigmented and last longer! And I think saying that they don't blend out as effortlessly as the lA girl and cherry pop . If you don't have have your technique down to a tea! Is game over lol

Love the concealer, highlighter , foundation coverage and glow (not the colour) and blush.That bronzer is straight DISRESPECTFUL !! How are they going to push out a bronzer like “enrobe” then come with that ill mannered ting, kmt (loud) di ting favour mud. Revolution need to educate themselves more and hire more people of colour in order to understand people of colour. It’s really hit or miss with them, but I will applaud them for their efforts.😀
