---AND BACK TO THE DESCRIPTION
I ride up to my calamansi farm in Veruela, Agusan del Sur, to oversee some important work - fertilizer! Until now, we've just used urea, because that's what was recommended. But with the help of Kris, an agriculturist, we've been advised to try something different.
So let's see how it works against a control measure of urea with humus!
Then I visit a cooperative in nearby Binucayan, Loreto. They are producing organic fertilizer with their machines, as well as educating farmers and selling organic rice!
Then onwards, northbound!
Will this work? Let's see!

KD, it was good to see what goes on during a typical work day on your kalamansi farm. Your new workers are working out very well as evidenced by the visible results of plant growth - so much better than before! The interactions with the workers have a much more congenial vibe than with the earlier crew, which I'm sure lowers the stress level tremendously for you. So glad to see things are shaping up so nicely! It's impressive to see how much the Philippines government is investing into the education of local farmers. I can't help thinking how the farmers are relearning techniques that they all used to use before modern technology came along teaching them that the way to improve their production was to use chemicals, etc., and to get maximum output at the expense of depleting the soil of the natural nutrients.

Yeah, certain equipment is required to make organic fertilizer, such as a shredder, which is a great help in shredding small branches and leaves and mixing them with different types of soil to make it more organic.

Kumader, If you use organic Chicken manure or carabao manure sparingly which abundant there and it is basically free, you can cut down your expenses on fertilizer. Also there are abundant of green leaves and brown dried leaves around your farm to make your own compost. Compost makes the your soil healthy. Just make a big mound of 50/50 mix of any green leaves and any brown dried leaves mixed with 30% dirt. Rotate the mixture every 2-4 weeks and you got yourself a good compost. You can tell the compost is ready to use when its turn dark and have that good earthy smell. All the best.

I'm inspired by how BLUETTI has transformed your life, both at home and work and agricultural ventures.. The big plus is its portability. It would help me out in life too - - I work from home as a freelancer/Virtual Assistance in Baguio City. And we do get a lot of storms and power outages. Here comes BLUETTI, hopefully. Liked watching your vlogs, such an inspiration. A strong spirit even in the midst of a storm. Daot sa pangalan pero hindi sa pagkatao. Keep on keeping on.

I'm very impressed how BLUETTI has transformed your life, both at home and work. The very transportable power source is remarkable. It would transform my life too - despite living in England with a windfarm to thecrear of my House and one of the largest Power Stations in Europe, my little Hamlet has regular 'outages'; remarkable but true... this product would enable me to continue with the work that I do off grid... serving those in need! Bless you KD❤ 19:20

Good to see that your kalamansi plant are growing compared to the one before, loosen up the soil around the plant for soil aeration so the soil can breathe it will make the kalamansi grow much faster. you can also use inorganic fertilizer like triple 14 or 14-14-14, it's a complete fertilizer for the roots, leaves and fruit, if you can spray herbicide on the grass as well so to kill unwanted vegetation / grass, much less expensive than cutting it with a grass cutter.

If you take a barrel, fill it with organic material, holes in bottom, pour urine on it , several gallons , keep it covered, add more urine once in a while , after about a year , you will have about a foot of Ammonium Nitrate in the barrel, sprinkle it around your plants when you fertilize , plus you can also add ash to your plants , but it better to add ash to compost so it starts to breakdown before you put it directly on your plants , yeah , put some more plants in there , papaya grow pretty fast and you get a bunch of seeds from one fruit

@franzb69
@franzb69 Год назад
if you add sheep or goats, u won't need to have that many people to hire trimming away the grass. you just have to fence in the trees coz goats will definitely browse around your trees. but sheep won't. then you just need a space for the sheep to sleep. an electric fence that you can move around so you can make smaller paddocks / sections that the sheep can graze on every week. keeps the grass growing well enough and regenerate when you have split up the sections as each section recovers. self sustaining with free fertilizer and free grass cutters.

turns out sheep are less prone to disease and does less damage to the soil and plants (than goats) when they eat on pasture. i would just put up sheep around your citrus farm. you get free sheep poop which is great fertilizer, won't burn your plants coz they're herbivores and is readily available to your plants. then you get meat every once in a while and milk. i don't think you can get a better deal than that. free way to cut down your grass and you get meat and milk plus free fertilizer

I pay them daily - per tree doesn't work because it's not the same amount of work per tree. Depending on how much the grass has grown and how dry the soil is. Even the type of grass around each one

Good to see that your calamansi are growing well Kumander. With the right knowledge and the right people, you will soon reap the fruits of your labor. Good things happen to good people and more goods things will be coming your way. As for Bluetti, typhoon Odette really showed us the importance of having a back up power supply especially in Cebu and Negros islands. A day without electricity is really difficult especially if you have kids and you work from home.Bluetti's compact power stations will give you that extra sense of preparedness plus the portability lets you take it wherever your feet takes you. After weeding and cultivation around the calamansi plant, the organic fertilizer or whatever fertilizer you use must be applied. In order to prevent the growth of weeds, the weeds extracted from around the calamansi should be put around the plant to serve as covering or "mulch". It can prevent the growth of new weeds and at the same time prevent excessive heat and preserve the moisture of the soil around the calamansi plant. You as the owner should instruct clearly all the weeders to do this to have a good result..anyway you are paying them...
