I recommend an inflatable pillow and either an inflatable mattress or a rolled up camping/yoga mat so that you've a surface to lie on. Also some to light a fire if needed. There are lots of items in a camping store that you could add in the kits also - maybe have a larger kit somewhere in a garage or shed that parent can grab that contains more extensive things like camp stove and gas canisters etc that you can all share.
