Testing Out Bargain Bin Fishing lures!/Are they Any Good? 

Never thought I would get such a kick out of watching discount fishing tackle reviews... I was wrong. *subbed* 😊 🎣

The Ozark Trail crankbaits and lures aren't bad at all for the price. Some of them actually come with Eagle Claw hooks too.

These are more “weird” baits than “bargain bin”. When I read “bargain” I’m thinking under $3 lol

It's always the little hair/feather/bucktail jigs. They're one of the oldest fishing lures for a reason... they catch fish! I like using small walleye bucktails in saltwater for stripers, bluefish, flounder, etc, but we usually "tip" them with a Gulp bait. I'm sure they work tipless, though... pretty sure the hair jig pre-dates the Gulp bait by a century or two.

Those gandy lure baits are handmade carved wooden baits made by a guy in a garage. I have one of his wakebaits in a bluegill pattern and it swims so nice and I've caught some fish on it. For 14 bucks that's a hell of a deal for someone making it by hand at his house

I've got a whole boxload of Storm 'Wildeye' soft baits (3/16oz. size ), in perch and minnow pattern, that I'll remove the treble from and experiment with fishing like that neat little dropshot lure.

I think I’m going to some of those hair jigs because I use crappie jigs for snook but I can’t put to much pressure because the hook will bend out and that little hair jig looks like it has a good hook.

Like the bargain bin lures. I like to grab weird stuff from them, see if its worth buying the better versions or things like them. Usually can grab rooster tails or off brands cheap since i go through quite a few fishing the rivers here. Lots of rocks and trees in the water

Both those big baits would work during spawn I think. Also you could cut that centipede one in half to make 2 lures (at least looks like from watching view) Anyways I am with the other viewers when we think Bargain bin we are thinking extremely discounted baits. Pretty sure the jackal bait is supposed to mimic a hellgrammite. Hellgrammite are awesome bait around here on rivers for smallmouth

Jackal and flashunion are Japanese fishing gear maker and their lures are always nice
