Testing out my theory at Camanche Pond

With so much underwater growth at the pond, it is hard to gauge the water columns where the trout are cruising at. Too heavy of a weight and a short lead line will drag the bait into the underwater forest. Too light of a weight, the bait might float above the water columns. From my last videos, I finally get to put my theory to the test on this one small section of the pond at Lake Camanche. Watch the result.

What size senko you use to mini jig. 5" cut to 2"? Thanks for the Camanche videos. Very helpful

1.5 inch or smaller.

@Tong_Vue ok cool. Do you cut down a 4" or 5" senko? In other words should I buy 4" or 5" senko to get the correct thickness (diameter)

@@TghtLin I buy the 3 inch plastic worms and then break them in half. You can Texas rig a 3 inch and get the trout that way too. 1.5 inch is for the Ned rig.

Wish every time I go there, is like that, no shoulder to shoulder fishing combat, but it'll never happen... Always packed... Good catch...

If you don't like the crowd, go on days like today. Usually a four to five days after the plant, it is pretty dead. If I go on plant day, I usually stay away from the crowds. It will be a lot more challenging but I don't have to combat with crowd. I wait till the crowd is gone, then I move over.

I see people using more than 3 rods sometime. Thought there is no rule against that.

@@Tong_Vue 1 rod per person. Two rods with a purchased two rod stamp on your license. 3 rods are illegal

I fished in my float tube at the other end and my wife witnessed your fishing skills and was absolutely amazed at your skills stating that you are an "Awesome fisherman" and too bad I wasn't there to see you catching trout.
