I wish I had my moms makeup bag! All kinds of vintage makeup and my grandmother sold Avon for many many many years way back in the day! I still have lots of antique Avon cologne in the really cool bottles. I have painted eggs, cats in dresses, a skunk! So cool
@@Laurajaneatelier the ungodly amounts of Avon stuff we trashed makes me sad now that I'm older... All of her milestone pins for how many years/decades she sold Avon for and all the cute packaged stuff I wish I would have saved.
@@rebelicious407 I LOVE Vintage Avon. I have cologne bottles too from the 60's & 70's. A Black cat, chess pieces, whiskey barrel. I took that for granted as a kid & never quite understood my grandmother's obsession with saving collectibles but so glad she did. It's so fascinating how things were made back then.
Thank you so much for adjusting your lighting, I can see the colours and textures so much better! Those are some pretty incredible finds, and I LOVE that you aren't afraid to use them for our benefit!
Oh Yes ~ the 50's look was GLAM for sure. My first mascara was very much like this studio girl palette ~ a black tile from Maybelline or Max Factor I cannot remember.... you would wet the tile and it was very black on the lashes, it would run down your cheeks when it rained...lol ~ You have brought back some colorful memories ~ Thank you Laura Jane ~ Be Well ~ Suse & Crew Vancouver Island BC CANADA ~*~
I would love to see you do a Barbara Eden - I Dream of Jeannie makeup tutorial. I love her eyes and makeup in the TV show. Thank you for sharing your love of Vintage Beauty Products. It's fun to see what you present to your audience each time. 😘
Laura! I bought "love that red" Revlon super lustrous lipstick today cause of this video! Plz make more makeup videos I love them they make my day during these hard times! I'm pregnant so my husband has me extra isolated here at home💕keep up great work love u!
The palette is lovely .much prefer those colors to today's, so many are way too dark. You have flawless porcelain skin, and roomy eyelids. I have hooded eyelids, so most looks don't work for me. Love seeing your NOS products
How nice to see an authentic eyeshadow palette 🎨, authentic instructions, and how it actually looks when applied! Would you consider also showing us the other three eyeshadow colors on you? I'm so very curious!
Would you consider flipping through any of your old magazines, if you have? I have hundreds of old Seventeen magazines, Vogue, Madamoiselle. I've collected them since early teens, and am in my late 20's now. One day I'll make a RU-vid channel flipping through them, but I'm scared of copyright laws.
I used to love Seventeen, Glamour and Mademoiselle magazines when I grew up in the 1960’s. I wore those magazines out looking through them so much! I didn’t keep mine, but sure wish I had! I would love to see a video channel like you mentioned.❤️
I have a quick question ❤ I know you did a video on Pattie Boyd, but I was wondering could you do a video on what the Beatles' girlfriends and wives would have worn make up wise ❤ also Tina Chow, Astrid Kirchherr, Marianne Faithfull, Eleanor Bron are honourable mentions ❤ I love your videos so much and I always look forward to seeing them in my recommend ❤ keep up the good work ❤ also lovely video
@@FlowersHereGrow I had forgotten but yes, I changed my polish a few times a week. That was back when my life revolved around going out every night. Those days are long over but I love the vintage memories.
i love you video's If I lived in the USA I woud totally love to do your makeup in 1950 style ! (I am a makeup artist) sadly I don't live in the USA I'm from the Netherlands and you adore the vintage content you post
My aunt had a cake eyeliner and small fine brush in it, she used to draw lashes underneath her lower lashline. She became expert at it but dare i say, as a little girl I remember her spitting in the block to pick up the pigment 🤔
Look don't tell anybody but I've always used a black eyeshadow wet as a liner because I have hooded eyes and it drags less. I would lick the brush to wet it for YEARS until I realized I was gross.
HI LAURA ,,WOW , YOU LOOK LIKE A MOVIE STAR .,REALLY LOVE YOUR MAKEUP ,,I WAS NEVER ONE TO APPLY EYE💄 LINER ,,,LOL I NEVER COULD GET IT RIGHT ,,,AND EVEN THOUGH MY MOM WAS A HAIRDRESSER💇♀️ IN THE EARLY 1960S ,,,KEEP THE VIDEOS COMING , I JUST LOVE THEM STAY WELL ,BE SAFE 🙏❤
Finally someone I love her RU-vid channel and I watch her videos all the time I collect vintage cosmetics myself text myself so she's a great inspiration but I really don't think it's great to put that on your face
The chemicals in the beauty products may have broken down and might not be very healthy on the skin. Otherwise, she looked very nice wearing the vintage makeup!
