Thank for sharing this experience. I live in the south of France and I also think the putty changes with climate. I agree with you about that putty. Not a fan for now but I'll try again later

I think it is really climate sensitive cos on one day it wouldn't release my drills, but every other day has worked perfectly. So 10c raining is its vibe 😂 The pen is gorgeous ❤

What a gorgeous pen! Congratulations on your win! I got the rose sparkle sticky from DAC. I'd never used a putty before so I was super excited about it and I figured it'd be good since it's DAC. Your experiences with it are pretty much the same as mine. I'm frequently having to clean up my multiplacer tip because it's very squishy and stringy. I've gotten it stuck on my canvases several times also which has been a nightmare to try and clean off. Now that I'm used to it I don't hate it and I can't complain about getting 10x more than I'd get from a small shop for more or less the same price. I'll definitely keep using it over the wax but I really hope they improve the formula. Also, even though I bought the rose scented putty, it had no fragrance whatsoever. I even asked my grandma to smell of it for me because my sense of smell isn't the best and she said it just smelled like erasers and not like rose at all. Apparently several lots of the rose fragranced putty got out without any fragrance added, which is fine. I mostly bought it for the color than because it had a fragrance mixed in.

I’m very interested in trying DAC’s putty, but am unfortunately unable to diamond paint right now due to my trigger finger of my thumb on my right hand with carpal tunnel syndrome and a cyst in my wrist. I’m unable to bent my thumb and am having to have surgery this month on the 20th. After I recover fully from my surgery I will be able to get back to diamond Painting for short periods of time to not interrupt to continued healing process. I’m also unable to cross stitch right now as well which being unable to do either craft is very upsetting. I’m glad I can at least watch you do these crafts along with a few other people I watch on RU-vid.

@Himhrtagramangel, I pray a quick recovery for you. I had the same surgeries 5 yrs ago, that’s how I started Diamond Painting. 2 weeks after surgery I gently started dotting, it was a great way to pass time and gave me some physical therapy too😊

I had trigger finger on my thumb too. The surgery was super easy. They just numbed it and I was wide awake. At least that part of your problems will be easy. Hope the rest is good as well

I HAD to giggle at Gollum, I have a BlueFronted Amazon whose favorite phrase for strangers is mother f.... you get the idea lol! She learned it from previous owners. Is the other sound your text alert or something? I love it. I hadn't even gotten to the pen before I heard you tell them to watch their language and LOLed

When the multiplacer is loaded with putty, touch it multiple times with your hand/fingers so that it loses some tackiness. This way it won't grab the diamonds and hold on to them.

I tried using the putty pen and I just don’t like it. It sticks to the drills and if u get it on the canvas it’s like taking gum off a shoe. Any tips would b helpful

If you're having that issue, I'd recommend pressing the putty with your finger to keep it from gumming up on the top of the drills. It will create a little less stickiness and may not last as long, but you won't be fighting the putty.

I would say that it will work but only after a long session with regular drills, or if you've tamped it down with your hands for a while. It will stick really bad at the beginning otherwise and be quite stringy. Yes, it's much different than wax.
