This video convinced me that these are useless. An attacker will be moving and be able to smack your hands away as you try to jab them with the device.
That is a possibility. I forgot to charge it all the way in this video so that's why it's weak. I charged it for the pocket staff video and it floored both me and alberto in that vid. The best way to use these is to keep it concealed until they are close, then touch them with it quickly. Thanks for the comment.
Well im a private guard a out of all my yeam i am the only 1 that. Can take a taxer and stay standing amd fighting im 6ft2 180...37 yo...army veteran i can say that the look on their faces was worth it all. If u dont mind it dont matter....watch your 6
I had it on my side the pouch broke and tried to rig it. Went I bent over to get something one day. I didn't realize it was on. The bottom was against my side . I thought I got stabbed with a pencil I was like wth stood up. and got zapped for a min I had to fight to get it off of me. it felt like a vibrating electrical jackhammer or something I thought I was going to pass out if I didn't get it off. afterward, I was shaking for about 20 minutes. experience from a white guy I wouldn't find it very valuable for an aggressive violent person. I mean it could detour but it's not going to put a person down.
This one is the vts-195-1 heavy duty. I forgot to charge it all the way in this video but this one puts you down. I charged it 100% in the pocket staff video. It wrecked me. Thanks for the comment.

Here’s the problem with the ridiculous design of this “stun gun” It’s a marginal flashlight. It’s a marginal stun gun. It’s NOT both. If you’re walking in the dark using the flashlight and suddenly are in need of the stun device…….YOU MUST FIRST TURN OFF THE FLASHLIGHT. You heard correctly. You have NO LIGHT to see your target. You must shut it off before the stun portion will active. I’d say this is a significant flaw…..and the companies selling this product conveniently leave this fact out when promoting it. Get a dedicated stun gun and a good flashlight……forget this joke.
This is the vipertek VTS-195-1 heavy duty. I forgot to charge it all the way, but I did in the pocket staff video. It's a good taser, it floors you. You are right about the flashlight part though. That is kinda of a pity. The best way to use it is to keep it concealed until you attack so they don't expect it. I would say it works pretty well then.
