Shit is amazing and as someone who needs captions on their videos to understand what's being said, the extra mile and effort is truly appreciated and makes it so much funnier.

What’s weird is there are definitely regular GG episodes where the auto-generations use “Aaron” instead of Arin and are generally pretty bad…I’m sure it’s one of those ‘if we’re ever not busy or working on new projects, we’ll update those.’ And I get it, as someone freshly detached from being the Social Media person at my job (severing it from my current position of IT & unserious-HR)…it gets to be a lot to update on the backend with how many updates to content posting there are.

For the ice cream maker, I'm curious if salt was involved. Because that's absolutely a way to make ice cream (was THE way before freezing tech), but you need to add salt to get a strong endothermic reaction.

I think the point of the noodle thing at the end is to cool the noodles down, and it's meant to be eaten during the Summer. Many East Asian countries have some form of cool noodle dish.

It's called Nagashi Somen aka flowing noodles. You're right that its meant to be a cold noodle dish, but its more about the "grabbing noodles as they go past you" serving gimmick than any practical reason. The non-toy version usually involves a long bamboo chute that you send cooked noodles down and people grab it as it goes by.

The noodle slide is for Nagashi Somen, it’s a type of thin noodle that are eaten cold during the summer to cool down. It’s usually eaten via bamboo slide, it’s meant for fun and to keep the noodles cool.

I'm rewatching this with subtitles on and I love the Rocky Horror reference at 5:20. Hidden subtitle jokes are honestly an underrated gem sometimes

Speaking as someone who used to work in a Japanese food court and often worked the Takoyaki stand, this was painful to watch. But I sympathise with the struggle to turn them in the little spherical griddle pans, it was damn tricky.
