I use Walmart's Apple Barrel Acrylic Paint and I LOVE them! I haven't tried anything fancy yet, I paint the 5 inch wooden easels that they/we sell (I work for Walmart)

@@AnnieTroe same to you Annie; the apple barrel paints are amazing! I had been talking about painting the easels with a customer and she highly recommended them! I sell trading cards and I use the easels as displays. The only one that didn't turn out as expected was Toasted Marshmallow to me it didn't look at all like I painted it :(

Well that was fun to go shopping with you and your favorite daughter. I have a favorite son and daughter too. I buy all my art supplies at Hobby Lobby and sometimes Joanns. Hobby Lobby has 50% off on canvases, liquitex, masters touch, and other supplies in those lines so mostly I shop there. I only buy the sap green in the Grumbacher. My favorite paint is golden but it is never on sale. Depends on the painting which brand I use and many times I use several different brands in one painting knowing how they behave. Thank you for sharing your experience with the paint and canvases it was very helpful.

Wow 🤩 are you guys ever lucky . Our Walmart is a very small section, no choice. I love ❤️ Michael’s , Liqiuitex products and their gallery wrapped canvases. They also always coupons and sales . Big art hug 🎨🎨🤗🤗

I wanted to try Prussian Blue so I bought the Grumbacher in a 30z. tube and it is highly pigmented. It may be a step up from the student paint> I really like it. I as you use the heavy body and student liquitex.I have also like tried Arteza acrylic paints. .I use Folk art black paint (multi surface} for my under paintings .it an awesome paint for under paintings and really cheap. Thank you for the review.

The chalk paint that Walmart sells can also be used as if were a gesso to seal the painting canvas.
