Another little tip for anyone who uses these types of storage racks (or similar ones): if the paint color isn't shown/listed on your lid....you can airbrush/paint the top of your lid to make the color identification A LOT easier! Hope that helps!

I did that on all my GW paint pots. But I also wrote the initials (or symbol) of the paint, not just a spot.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your little buddy. Most people who haven't lived with birds don't realize how affectionate they can be. They all have their own little personalities. You must have taken very good care your little friend for him to have lived such a long life. I've had cockatiels for many years myself. I have one left who has lived to be 26 so far. They are true family, and you have my condolences.

One thing that i find useful is to use Avery brand round labels on the tops of paint bottles such as Tamiya and Mission. I use a fine point marker to write the code and color name. You can even put a drop of paint on the top, and then you will know exactly what is each jar. I keep some of my paint in drawers, so this allows me to quickly identify each bottle. All pets are family. When I was growing up, my dad had a Moluccan Cockatoo named Sampson. He was a great bird, he would sit in your lap and you could scratch him like a cat or a dog.

If you attach a hose to the compressor you can take it anywhere. I airbrush on my back porch for bigger stuff. It's really nice to be able to just unplug and walk outside and keep painting.

Interesting to read the comments about the wood vs. the acrylic paint racks, and how some folks prefer one over the other. I can appreciate the functionality of acrylic (see through, better visual access to the bottles), but as a hobbyist woodworker I appreciate most woodcraft items and will go that way myself for the paint racks. Thanks for reviewing them. I'm very sorry for the loss of your bird, losing a pet is always a difficult experience. You have my condolences.

That is a very nice case for those paint pens and markers. My wife got a nice wonderful collection of those markers and pens and I like to use them from time to time and it's better in a nice case than a box.

I just finished staining and assembling the 105 Vallejo Plyodlex rack with drawers. Looks great and the drawers and top shelf add lots of storage. Plus the 6 bonus paint handles.

One day hopefully we'll be able to watch you build a gundam or other model and enjoy watching you use your endless array of paint equipment as you go along. on the airbrush with the adapter you might be able to put on a Grex air valve drop the air pressure down and see see if it has more control

You would think that most ofbthese brands would be universal due to the bottle size. I would love a paint rack, but I just started. So once I expand me work area I'll have to look into one of these. Thank you everyone for your tips and as always, Rex take care. Can't wait for the next video

I'd use weld-on for the acrylic paint racks. This would create a weld-bond at the union, making the two effectively one part, so it should be pretty strong. I'd also suggest going with some taller carosel style paint racks, they don't take up much space on a bench or shelf except vertically, but can hold a lot of paints. I have one that's sized for 189 Vallejo/Army Painter sized bottles, and they make others for different sized bottles. That would let you compact your paint storage quite a bit and still have shelf space for other things.

Since I'm new at this, I buy off brand paints, not knowing any better. So comparing brand bottles doesn't really help me, measurements would work a lot better, including hole diameter and LWH of the piece. Thanks for the great videos!

The one with the replaceable battery is a big step up from here, meaning it cost about $70. When reaching that price point I say get a real compressor and a Gaahleri airbrush for just about a $100. But for the price it's really good especially with the option of choosing the air pressure

Don't use superglue on acrylic, you want acrylic cement for that... I like the mr.paint (MRP) paints. Used some of the acrylics...

We need long term tests. Most everything is going to work, as designed, out of the box. I bought a compressor the was tested on here and it began to clatter about 6 weeks later

It works decent if you can get the airbrush to mount up and have your paint thinned correctly. I bought one when they must have first come out as it did not have the adapter shown in the video. Subsequently, without that adapter, air does come out non stop. I've ran my Ghaaleri ACE 98 and my GSI Creos ps 771 on it, but had to tap my own adapter (m7x.05) to do so. If you use this thing for over 10 minutes, it starts to get pretty hot and may get uncomfortable to hold for some folks, as a heads up.

I went for a similarly priced portable airbrush to the green one recently, I found that the compressor was way too weak to push the paint and it clogged almost immediately... slight possibility that I am a dumdum and don't know how much I have to thin the paint, since it's literally my first airbrush, but either way it's a big bummer.

The reason your all in one airbrushes are staying on is because you're screwing on the airbrushes without a proper double action valve attached. The green one had nothing attached when you screwed it on.The silver one, the adapter must be for something else. Maybe look at the instructions.

Incorrect on the silver one. I own the silver one and it stays on all the time, no matter what configuration I've put it through. I bought mine when they first came out and I did not have the valve shown in the video. To me, from watching the video, it seems to be the "double action" valve because without it, the compressor brush blows non-stop. In the video, he states the air from the brush shuts off after releasing the trigger. Mine does not. I had to tap a BST fitting to get other airbrushes to work on it (m7x.05) but it stays running all the time, no matter what. Even with a GSI Creos PS 771 and the MAC valve closed. Even if you plug off the compressor hole.

I can confirm this. However, if you plan on using this thing for that long, your hand might not be. Continual use will build up some solid heat and it might make it uncomfortable for some to even hang onto the airbrush. Just a heads up. Condolences on your loss Mr. Rex. It's tough to lose a pet. They are family.
