"The scanner told him "!!! I love that. I wish my scanner told me what to change. I gotta get me one of those. But his parts cannon is definitely defective. Nice job sir

your boys at autozone will sell you one of those magical scanners and a parts cannon! lol

That oil sensor didn't look very new to me...plus...the wiring was bad right next to it. Whomever "change" it could have seen the broken wires...

Perfect example of why we test and don’t just throw parts at things. Good fix!

After a correct diagnosis, and no need for the parts cannon, the happy dance is always mandatory🤣👍🇦🇺

🤣 never parts cannon when you have multiple circuit codes
@simonilett998
@simonilett998 3 года назад
@@thebridge5483 Never prematurely fire the parts cannon, even if you only have one circuit code..Always verify circuit integrity is good, and that the suspected part is actually faulty before firing the parts cannon👍🇦🇺

Good theory and follow through. In this case you searched for a common denominator, but I'm sure if you would have followed through on any 1 of the components throwing the code, you would have found it anyway. Great job!

Cool vid. You DID get a code for the Accelerator Pedal Position sensor. It was the 1st code, it said "TPS/APP circuit low". Thats why the PCM didnt just throw a TPS code by itself...seeing how it could have. It gave you enough to have to take a look at the APP.

Strange. I felt a “Rocky Mountain High” when you found that shorted wire in the harness

Yep the same scan tool probably that they advertise on TV & the Internet to make sure your mechanic isn't screwing you at least that's what they say when in reality we know that's just what the module interprets the data as. If it's a pin fitment or wiring issue they are going to be changing a lot of parts & spending a lot of $$ trying to save $$. Nice diagnosis & repair.

Hi there, I am getting a '00538' reference voltage-011 Open circuit error in Central electronics of my VW Polo Gt Tdi, which includes battery and charging system. The fault code stays static when the car is turned on but can be erased after turning the engine on. Checked the live data and the reference voltage is at 10.24v when the car is switched on and specifications say it should be between (11.5 to 13.5 ), but the moment the engine is turned on the reference voltage goes up to 12.4 and that's when the fault code gets erased and doesn't recurr until the car is turned off and turned on again. The air conditioner gets cut off randomly. Had sent the car to workshop they checked the wirings, fuses, climatronic, BCM and even replaced the battery, but the fault code won't go. Can you please give your valuable inputs?

Wish my scan tool talked to me too! 😂 Maybe not since apparently it’s a liar! Typical Chrysler bubble gum wiring insulation.
