I got the kelbelka because the xodus is still out...i keep seeing it should be mixed with all three components they offer but i only got the matte. I see you only mixed wirh thinner so thats encouraging. Im hoping to see xodus restocked cause id rather that one

@jamiematthews9293 it doesn't need to be mixed with anything. I use the matte straight from the jar, if you want other effects you can mix it with one of the others, but you don't need to!

Gemini matte takes 12-15 minutes per baking to set rather than 9 minutes. I hope this helps. Thanks

Hi Emily. I’m so excited about the Col oils colours & will be ordering some & the base. I’m still waiting on the Xodus matte varnish. It’s been out for months now. Just wondering if you think the Kebelka matte varnish is as good as the Xodus matte varnish or should I wait for the Xodus? It’s very confusing! lol. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thx 😊

I think it's still going to be about another month for the xodus. I actually really like kebelka. I've used it a few times and it was almost exactly like Genesis varnish!

Just purchased my xodus thinning oil! And I wanted to take advantage of the shipping and needed a varnish and or medium so I went with the kelbaka matte. Can the kelbaka also be used as a medium with the winton oils and also at the end as a varnish? I think I know the answer I just want to confirm!

@jamiematthews9293 the Kebelka is just a varnish, the xodus oil is a medium but very thin so you'll use it instead of thinner with your oil paint and can also use it as a primer.

Golden matte doesn't crack, however they discontinued it several months ago.

I finally got finished with Lucas and I'm not happy with my job. Ashley asleep I'm waiting on a replacement head but went ahead and varnished last night and I'm struggling. I painted in the dark outta town and Lucas is too dark. I'm using xodus matte and satin I like them but expensive and I used thinner last night not straight varnish so idk. I used irristibles on a doll last year and I sold only for crackling pattern to happen to customer. She was super cool and I worked with her to keep her happy but....I miss Genesis.

I miss Genesis too! They were a lot cheaper than the ones now, or you got more for your money! I'm sorry your struggling right now, I don't even know how you were painting out of town! If I didn't have my full setup I don't think I could!

There is an alva and go shop on etsy available to me in the u.s. that sells heat set paints. Im assuming its the same company? I feel like i would really like this varnish as im on a quest for what i like lol i have ihsp varnish on the way i have yet to try.

@jamiematthews9293 I didn't know they opened it! They were going to a while back. I liked the Alva and Go, it's definitely a soft matte with a slight sheen, but it feels nice and I had no issues with it at all. I'll be doing an Alva & Go tutorial series very soon.

It's not, it's their in house brand. They have been waiting for a restock which is in transit and has been delayed for so long! I've been in touch with Brenda and she doesn't know exactly when it's going to be in, only that it's on the way

I’m wondering because I see it on your table what I can use the genesis heat set art colors heat set thick medium for exactly what could I use it for exactly ?? Nobody has been able to tell me as I just started using heat set not to long ago just figuring every Matt varnish all the varnishes out

This video would be perfect for you! But basically thick medium is for creating 3d effects, like raised "hair" strands, blisters, acne, anything you want raised up off the vinyl. It's my favorite medium! I have a few videos showing how I use it, I think one is Finishing Details on a Laura.
