6:40 The compass changed, every time you had a near death experience. I think it was trying to get you killed those ways, but failed, so the shaking means it's seeking out a new death.

I have a theory on who made the ruin portals and why they made them I think piglins made portals to explore the over world but once they realized they'd turn into zombified piglins they blew up the nether portals and when they did that the obsidian cracked making crying obsidian
