They sound much better in a properly sound deadened door, I have both the 2 way and 3 way set. Best speakers I’ve owned and I’ve been a car audio guy since the late 90s
Im considering focal frak with a k2 for the mids and a jl 10w6v3 with a audison 5 channel with dsp. But the quote i got was rough lol. Door deadening and installing etc lol
I had 2 set of these (one two way and one 3 way, each set was on a JL rd 400/4 with a pair of 12 inch W6’s on a JL RD1000/1, I did the install and everything was sound deadened and the build was incredible sounding (I still have the 4 channel and sets of speakers)
Absolutely fantastic!!!!!!!! My main channel is beric builds on YT. I have a few videos of them in the car if you scroll back on my shorts. I'm working on a full review of them now
i think about buying the 2way set, mostly hear rap/rock/hip hop, are they good for that? now i have jbl gto690c, i love warm sound and a bit of bass, bat want music to sound more clear.
People always complain about the harsh highs on focals. Do you feel that way about the flax? I was gonna get the sub and mids and swap the tweeters if need be.
@@brianb_cause I run my amps all pass and change the crossover on the headunit between off and 80 hz depending on what type of music I'm listening to and the age of genre
