You’re actually dealing more damage with Thornmail still with the reduced scalings before and after masterwork in this patch, it’s just that stacking armor on top of that later on doesn’t give as much value. In overall tankiness, I did the math at level 12 from one of your videos, and you have about 360 more Effective Health Points with masterwork Thornmail after patch. This is in a vacuum of course with only one item, but it means HP stacking will be good with it. Pre masterwork you have a whopping 1050 more Effective Health Points in 14.19 with the new Thornmail compared to the old one, so don’t see how it can be bad in any scenario except for when you wanna explicitly Armor stack. With unending and some more HP stacking it should be really strong, no?

It is strong with hp stacking. So imo the core items for ornn hasn’t changed plus now thornmail deals more dmg overall

This makes sence, my pisslow ooga brain was thinking the cook was bami, bramble, giants belt, thornmail, negatron, heartsteel, kaenic, just becaus i thought 150 armor masterwork item seemed like a no brainer. Not even realizing thornmail has practicly no armor scaling damage anymore. Im a fan of health stacking with unending though.

riot gives lethal tempo atk speed scaling damage meanwhile there's a champ called Taric who gets like two full items worth of bonus atk speed from passive

Hello I am the guy who played Taric in these two games. Sadly, lethal tempo’s damage is unaffected by Taric passive, because lethal only benefits from *bonus* atk speed, while Taric passive gives *total* atk speed. But hey, at least this way Jinx isn’t going to dominate next split since her takedown passive also grants *total* attack speed. Despite that, lethal tempo is still a funny rune on Taric.

They added more damage points to thornmail and only reducing insignificant hp. With heartsteel hp stacking and with other tank items you should do more damage than before with thornmail mid to late game Id say it either didn’t change anything or its a buff. Also will you make updated ornn guide?

j had a game of thornmail in pbe with a bunch of jumpy assassin and i got overinflated with dmg but thornmail seems awesome still, i hope i get a game full of spell casters to see what heartsteel can do with kaenic but my sunfire thornmail game was insane (not a very good testing environment tho)
