Thanks for an informative video. What is the size of the Angler softbox? How does the flash perform if you mount it directly on the camera with a diffuser?
I've learned a ton from flash from you. I grabbed the Angler softbox recently as well as some Godox flashes. Thanks for all the awesome, straight-to-the-point stuff man. Appreciate you!
Your video is fun and very useful for people as me, just an amateur weekend shooter. I just bought a Zf last month and have learn a lot from you of using the speed light of camera, combining zf with manual len. Please make more off camera flash out door with Zf and speed light.
New to the channel, but I enjoyed this video. Just a question… Were the photos you showed of the model during the video straight out of camera, or were they edited prior to adding to your video? Great video, and thanks. Thinking abt getting this setup for myself!!
Love this video, i dont see many who use the ttl function and always insist on manual control. TTL make everything so easy.. I use ttl off camera often and i usually have to dial back about a stop when shooting through a modifier but the results are amazing..
Does anyone know for Canon version the high speed sync which hace an issue with older version does pro version fix the issue wil the high speed sync work with TTL now?
Good color! I have non pro version and its little green. Far form perfect. Shoot with R3 and TTL works better with Canon own flash EL-5. But Godox is still very usable. Good work! Like your videos. You are relax and professional. No game changers here!
I just got my v1pro for my fuji. I am wondering if you can list the projects names or links to the items that connected to your vr1 pro flash stand. I am planning to get into studio photography. I have been doing street photography as hobby for nearly 20 years but totally new into studio photography. Would just the vr1 pro be enough as my main light for more than one person picture for studio? Thank you
@@kaskoPhotoso one of these and the vr1 pro flash attached to this on stand should be strong enough for like 3-4 people family picture? Thank you once again.
I have a Canon R3 and have never been able to get HSS to work on any of my mirrorless bodies in TTL mode with other Godox transmitters. Before the X3 NONE of my units would do so, unless you set the flash to Manual Mode. Now with the X3 everything is working 100% of the time with the factory-installed 1.16 firmware. I'd suggest updating your flash firmware though. I have two AD-300Pro, one AD200Pro, and two V-860II units.
Thanks for posting. Pictures look great. I noticed you did not use backlighting in this case. What criteria do you use to determine the use of backlighting? Personal preference?
This was just testing the flash so I chose to use a single flash to only show its capabilities. But I often use only one - depending on if I need separation.
When do you use the parabolic diffuser and when you use the regular octagon softbox ? The softbox that you are using here, does it have have a beauty dish built in?
A true parabolic is a parabolic shaped unit without front diffusion… diffusion on any parabolic shaped modifier just makes it a soft box. And a reflector inside of a modifier spreads light, it does not make it a beauty dish. The beauty dish inside of the soft box is just a marketing tool. I do not use reflector plates inside of soft boxes- they aren’t my favorite. Remember, most of those keywords they throw out there are just marketing tools. A true “parabolic“ actually controls light and the only one that I’ve ever seen and used that worked was over $4000.
sorry unrelated but what strap are you using? and is it fair to assume you like it? I have a peak design atm but tbh it's a bit overkill so Im thinking about getting something a bit more classic.
Hey, have even shooting with the Nikon Zf and noticing a little green fringing, specially when editing in Camera Neutral color (which is my favourite). Any way to counterbalance this?
