I bought my Deus about a month ago and chose this coil. Last Saturday I found a bronze age Rapier fragment - it was very deep, as was the bronze age cloak pin I found very close to it. I notice people say this coil does not go deep but that sword part was over 12" down, and it wasn't a small target. After digging out a deep clod I had to go deeper still to find it. I will get a second coil soon but this does work as an all-rounder on the hot programme. Will try the higher frequency as well to see how that goes on my bronze age site.
Hi Gary, great video. Elliptical coil is a great little coil. I use it to great effect on the gold programs with the ORX. Used in gate holes and hot spots, found many a silver at depth.
Great video Gary! I love my HF elliptical coil, especially in trash, in rocks and brush and for competition hunts as it pinpoints fast using the wiggle back. Yes, I use it in the water too. The HF elliptical coil is all my wife will use as it's double her coin count. Thanks for the vid and good luck.

Hi Gary,I see missi wanted to give you a hand, I used to have the elliptical but now have the round, well pleased with it but both coils have their purpose just love the Deus.
i believe it is compatible with Deus 2 cos it's multi frequentie i believe but i am not expert , and thats why i still not buy it in this configuration pakkage they sail it at the moment , thanks for your question, it hits me too , have same toughts as you Bro , and sorry for my poor english , i am dutch from Belgium ;-)
Great video, Gary! The Deus is great for allowing you to go back to properties over and over again with different coils or settings, so you're never one and done.
Really interesting, what frequency did you use Gary? I have a site that has produced many Romans but getting harder now, I wonder if the elliptical should be my next investment? (I use the original 11" coil) ATB MMMD aka Keith67

Use elliptical coil for the vast majority of my detecting. Worked out field becomes alive again. Don’t expect to work far and expect to be tired from digging.
I have a problem with this coil and there are more users who have it .. The coil is charging but the LED on the coil does not indicate when it is full !! What could be the cause of this?? I really enjoy the coil, ideal for between the corn stubble .. Nice that you pay attention Garry..👍🏻😀
@@fireblade1000jg Its verry strange and it happens only on the HF coils from XP.. I have heard the same problems by other users.. I will try your sugestion, thanx..👍🏻
great job sniffing out those coins. I love that coil!! Man have I found some excellent stuff with mine. Even running a higher reactivity in the trash it will still let ya know deep stuff is there. In my opinion its almost as good as other machines with sniper coils on. Love the vids. What the heck kinda hand digger are you using now? Looks like a piece of metal ya just hammered together haha
I have 10 acres of virgin property where where an old fort from 1812 stood. I have lot's of metal and barrel straps and tons of old square nails I have found. Would this be a good coil to use on my property? If so, what would be the best program to use? If not, what coil would you suggest? I have the X35, HF Round and Elliptical. Really enjoy your videos. Hi Gary! A very interesting video as always, thanks!:) I was thinking in buying one HF coil and I’m deciding between the elliptical and the round 9” coil. I will use it mainly in those sites where I need that extra target separation but without sacrificing too much deep detection... which one would you use in that case?:)
Hi Luis the HF round is deeper but the Elliptical can find the smaller targets....Hence in this instance I guess it's deeper. There is no real answer to depth because it depends on the target size and terrain.
Is it possible with this elliptical HF coil to get in the non-rusted crown caps with a pure iron tone ? Assuming you take a low frequency and ground filter 4.
I was just noticing for a while in your video. When I switch on Mi-6 my coil will disconnect and I can only hear signal from pinpointer but not coil. In your video you are swaying coin in front coil but pinpointer looks like ON? Is that because I am still running version 4? Should I update my system now????
thanks Gary for your share , thats very concluding to me , and why does XP doesn't sail pakage with this HF epileptical coil ? i am sure they would sail much more than they do now , and thats the only reason i would not buy it in there pakage configuration , it's less better than my ten times cheaper chinese tekneticks clone GF2 t2 goldfinder , beurk 🤑sorry for my poor english
