Personnally i use this board for beginners. The narrower the board, the less chances you put the feet at the wrong place. Footswitch is totally possible and even to sit on the board and stand up again. Narrow board is easier to beachstart. If you are into ollie and backflip, this is the board you need with footstraps.

Have you been kitefoiling with the Hydroskate so far?
@PumpFooling-bm2rb
@PumpFooling-bm2rb 10 месяцев назад
exactly, getting your feet in optimal position is much easier with a narrower board.

you got the Hydroskate? nice, if it wouldn`t be so expensive, I would totally consider buying it

Unfortunately it's quite pricey. I would recommend Naish Microchip, which I bought for 400,- CHF. Perfect size for traveling and the transition from Indiana 3.7 "Le Doigt" was easy.

yes, the microchip is insane indeed. I haven`t tested it yet, but I have at least one friend that went back to an Axis board. I need to ask him once for the reasons.

Microchip felt heavy, that is the only things I remember from trying it one time. Do not even know the weight, that was just the feeling.

@@mihazidar4856 I guess the Slingshot is quite similiar to Axis, Indiana and the new Gong Board. 90cm seems to be the most common size!

do you hit the sirius when you fall ? because im thinking the narrower the board the more chance to touch the front foil. thank for the review
@FoilingPastor
@FoilingPastor 11 месяцев назад
no, I never hit the Sirus so far. I can understand that you are afraid, but I never hit the front wing so far.

Hi - thank you for this clip. Could you give me some tips about beginner friendly docks to practice ? Thank you
@FoilingPastor
@FoilingPastor 11 месяцев назад
Yes, for sure. The best docks are the one that are overhanging at the end. For example there is one in Silvaplana (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ec0qpqYwlNg.html). Also the height makes a difference. Too high get`s difficult to put the frontwing into the water, too low makes it difficult to jump high enough. I also prefer wood over metal, because they scratch the foil less. Usually, we don`t have so many different docks, but you can just try to look for some in your region through google maps. Usually, we don`t have so much choice. Where do you live? I could help you a bit in central switzerland

@@mulhauserthomas1325 I haven`t been pumping there so far. I know that some friends have been pumping at the Aare and some at the Rhein, but rivers are a bit more difficult to learn.
@FoilingPastor
@FoilingPastor 11 месяцев назад
@@mulhauserthomas1325 that`s probably a difficult area to learn pumpfoiling. Some people went pumpfoiling in the Rhein and in the Aare, but rivers are more difficult to learn in the beginning.
