We have the same hometown! I recognized the Tunnel and the rodeo in town. I also have a Tesla and looking to get a robot mower of some sort so loving all of your videos you've been putting out.
@@engineer_sooner Not my hometown, but got transferred here. It's not so bad as long as you don't mind living on the surface of the sun and don't have a life. 🤣
Another cool video by the Crazypostman! I always enjoy your robotic mower reviews as they are very "real" and show the good and bad. I would love to see you test out the Sunseeker Orion X7 Plus at your Dad's house. Maybe Sunseeker would let you try it?
Good to see that it is not just my Yuka to not work perfectly. There is only 1 tree and 1 rose bush and no other obstacles and open borders. Seems like the ramming into the dirt pile will get the charging ports full of dirt, possibly causing problems with the automatic recharging. It should keep some distance between repeatedly dumping, or drive in backwards from he beginning on.
So a few infos here: The wiggling was removed with an update, the dumping was fixed with the newest .550 firmware, you can now change it mid task. Also i don‘t understand why it keeps going and doesnt stop when it‘s stuck. Just imagine this is grass and it tears it all up. A desaster and not smart at all.
@@CrazypostmanYou better not upgrade to .550 anyways, as this breaks the sweeper functionality. It doesn‘t sweep the perimeters an no-go zones then, to avoid collision with fences etc. It just deletes the lines and says that it finished. Mammotion is going to adress this but in a september update. Better stay with .537 till then!
@@aaronbutler5969It was sweeping and mowing here. These mowers don't cut up leaves too much. I found last year with Luba, it did most of its leaf mitigation by crunching them with the tires Once they dried up and got crispy.
We mowed about 25% of the lawn...but noticed that it didn't do that close to the sidewalk. I mapped it so the rear wheel was rolling just on the edge of the grass but it seemed like it had a whole mower width away from the sidewalk. Do you think I need to map wider out, like on the sidewalk?
@crazypostman Have you noticed after the latest FW update on your YUKA, if it will do perimeter laps. Mine will no longer do perimeter laps no matter what setting I choose. If i tell it do do perimeter only the task immediately ends as soon as it starts. If I choose the "unrecommended because of the sweeper kit" perimiter first, then it also immediately ends. If I choose the default zig zag first, it will complete the zig zag, but as soon as it is time to start the perimeter the task immediately ends and says it is 100% complete. Wondering if anyone else is having this issue on Yuka with a sweeper kit.
@@oz457 I personally think Yuka is better unless you have slopes. It's big and heavy enough that it's not hindered too much by the two-wheel drive. And the turning is much more gentle on the grass.
Crazy, any idea how to delete a "Dumping Spot"? I set one, moved the Yuka to a mowing area, and the channel was created. However, every time the Yuka goes to dump, it gets stuck and for the life of me can't figure out how to delete a dump spot. Tried everything! The manual is no use at all and I can't find any info on the Internet. I have version 1.11.721.557 Thanks in advance!
I don't know why you can't delete your dumping spot. That's weird. On mine you just go to edit map Go to the zone where your dump spot is connected and delete it.
@@Crazypostman Thanks for responding. I figured it out. The manual says go to "edit" then hit "delete". I did this and it deleted my zone! Here's what you have to do. Hit "Edit". Select the area the dump spot is in or leads to it. Hit the "DOWN ARROW" in the area selected. Then Hit either channel or dump spot. Then hit "Delete". They forgot to add a couple of steps. Lol. Whew.
Are you still able to mow manually with your OG Luba? How about Luba 2? I have not been able to mow manually with my Luba 1 since update 1.10.5.246. Please check and see if you can still mow manually without repeated disconnects claiming weak bluetooth single. So frustrating.
I haven't noticed any weirdness with 246 on OG, I haven't tried manually mowing though... It's been just on its automatic schedule for many weeks without any intervention. I don't have a Luba2.
Can you have multiple dumping locations? If you do, how does know know which one to go to? I will think over time, the dump site would get full, will it know and move left or right to get addtional room?
@@robertmiller7849 I didn't try that, but I can try that later and see what happens. I'm gonna guess it only allows one dumping location per unconnected zone.
I jus got mine and am having trouble getting it mapped. I did the first map but then it won't mow because it say the mower is outside the map? I have the charger just outside the map area, so it can't find it way to the charger? I though I could do a path from the map area to the charger (like 3 feet) but that didn't work. What am I doing wrong here?
If your charging base is not inside the zone, you do have to make a path. Start inside the zone you created. Go to create a channel and drive back to the charger station. It should work.
@@Crazypostman I got it to work...I just "moved" the base and it asked me to reposition it. I just wiggled it and it actually just placed it on the map for the 1st time. Don't know why it wasn't on the map at all. I got it to work, mow and sweep now. Thanks for your videos and assistance.
@@chrischassey4849 it needs to leave the dock automatically. Maybe you chose manual and just drove it straight out of the dock. Or vice versa, Maybe you put it on the dock manually instead of letting it drive automatically and start charging. Glad you got it all programmed up now :)
@@KarlWang-q3e I skipped downloading the last firmware because others reported that it caused Yuka to skip some border passes. So I was waiting until the next one where the border situation is solved in September hopefully. Aside from a few software bugs, I'm impressed on how well the sweeper actually works. The only thing I would suggest is allowing a manual dump when requested. Maybe making the dump icon clickable to trigger a manual empty immediately.
@@Crazypostman Oh, I see. And the manual dump is a very good advice. You want to tell Yuka to dump in advance to prevent the bag from becoming too full?
