Cant wait to get my hands on a 2023 890r , will be my first adv bike and im really looking forward to taking on a new style of riding and i think ive made the right decision getting the 890r , having owned a couple R6s and a R1 and 6 or 7 yz450fs for riding in the bush over the years and ive just sold my Harley to buy the 890r i think im going to have a lot more fun on the adv bike than any of the other bikes , next year i will do a couple trips to the top end of oz , have been looking at what bags to put on it but there's so many to choose from , sleeping conditions will be a hammock, sleeping bag and a rain fly , few sets of clothes and a couple 3 piece fishing rods ، small gas burner and bits and pieces, few tools oouple tubes and that will be it ... im missing out and cant wait for the next chapter of a new riding style...

Nice ad. I will need to buy two. So when one breaks down I have the second one to ride waiting for the first one to be fixed. Then again what happens if both are broken? Gee might need to buy three.

It is going to have check engine lights come on in the first 1000 miles like the 2002 RC 390? Will it spend more time in the shop than on the road/trails like the RC 390?

The more features i see on these new bikes (as options) in some cases, the more I appreciate my 1190. Since it already has most of the them. Not add ons or extra features to purchase. Main difference is the smaller wheel and the adjustable traction (9-1) settings in Rally modes, basic on or off with 1190 and most settings need to manually be set. Then there is the weight diff of course. 467 vs 432 lbs. and the lower CG with the new tank design. but the 150 ponies sure make it exciting. KTM Adventure Rocks regardless!!

You must solve some simple matters there in KTM such as the gasoline pump out from the tank when the motorcycle moves in hot contitions imagine a smoker sitting next to a rider who just opens the tank and the spring of gasoline with the evaporation fills the air...

The hauzard lights don‘t go on at the same time. The left goes first and then the right after a few miliseconds. Watch the video at 0,5x, you‘ll see

Own the2023 KTM super adventure R 1290 these bikes are beasts . They need to keep all the settings easier to much BS scrolling threw stuff just to ride off road.

I live in Midwest, USA, and I got mine delivered last week. I'm a first-time KTM owner, and the experience has been disappointing. I get the extra $699 for Tech Pak; it's a user-centric feature that won't make a difference for most riders. But to enable Bluetooth, you must pay between $150-200 and buy a connectivity unit. That's a new low for KTM. What next? Pay for using front brakes? These days even coffee machines have Bluetooth in them. And my dealer has no idea when this will be available here. It's a great motorcycle, but KTM's business model doesn't appeal to me. I have other European Motorcycles ( Duc & BMW) and know what I pay for. It's definitely for something other than fundamentals. My last KTM !!

So ok. I'm in love with this bike. I see. No seat confort, no heigh reduce, so is not able (to me, I'm 172) to carry tons of luggage and make an "ADVENTURE" travel. I will check anyway in a shop how it feels

@@sagarthapa3765 Not done much outside Europe so not really qualified to advise. My feeling though is the EXC is more of a competition bike with higher and more regular levels of maintenance required than an adventure bike.

This will be controversial but I don’t like the new fairing. I get that the wind protection might be better but I like the shape and colour of the 21/22 model more. Like the new screen and engine guard but keep the rest as it was for me.

I wish it would be as reliable as the Tenere 700. But 790/890 KTM‘s aren‘t crafted in Europe and I‘ve heard that the quality ist pretty bad… otherwise I’ll purchase one :)

Your man's right about the looks of this machine, these combi off roaders are normally pug ugly, sorry dog, but this is a nice looking bike. Price tag though is way out of my mere mortal league. 😢

I was about to buy a new 890 but I wont, I will keep the 790. The price you have released is joke !! For what? No real updates, you have only fixes YOUR issues from YOUR production, which is by the way now moved to china, this leads to cost savings and you raise the price about 20% instead of keeping it?! You struggle with quality in austria production, and you want us to trust you while its moved to china and also its more expensive? Come on!! This is Big big dissapoitment. Your marketing is very bad. If I decide to proceed with my purchase by any chance, I will be definietally making very very detailed review about that bike, to make sure, it's worth the money...I will check every single screw....

@@Dusan-wr3cb Actually I bought 890 at the end 🤣 and honestly, there is not a big differenct other than design and bit less stalling in low rpms :) These bikes are great but the difference between modlels is minimal. More over rally mode has to be payed on the new one while it was included before...

by the way...I found mamy cost saving projects on new model...some parts has different materiL than before... wheel spacer last less, rubber below the seat also... I can spot many small things that are now made from some cheaper material. This obviously dissapointing me a lot. Coz they are runing great bike with small savings while the price is already high as shit.
