Today I am reviewing and testing the Profishiency pocket combo. It is a telescopic rod that collapses down to 18in. #telescopic #fishing #bassfishing #bass #survival #fishtexas #sanantoniofishing #sanantonio #fish
Just bought one to keep in my truck. Great to pull out for bluegill or crappy when you’re somewhere when you had no plans to be out fishing. Great emergency reel to catch some food in a survival situation too. Not really good for anything other than small fish though. I’ll probably use it the most for green sunfish fishing in the creek behind my house.
I find it to be an invaluable addition to my kit. On a visit to Laurel Hill Lake Tn I was advised by fisherman that best bluefin could be caught right off a boat jetty. Out came my little Profishiency rod. A number 6 hook and a split shot and a red wiggles straight over edge of jetty and six keeper fish within the hour. Extremely handy little rod. Permanently kept in my truck now. Well worth the minimal investment.
@@ichbins5599 the rod has a little compartment with small weights. You can tie the string to the weights and re thread it through the holes. Can’t remember if it’s the bottom or the rod or next to the reel.
I would recommend the proficiency flip cast rod. It’s 5ft and breaks into two pieces. I liked that one a lot more and it’s $40 as well last time I saw it at the store.
Not sure why the instructions had me tie the threading rod and all that when it already came threaded ... anyone else do that unnecessary step as well? Lol
The reel is removable, I’ll save this comment and see if any of my normal size ones fit on the rod. Thanks for watching! I’ll update as soon as I try it.
