Thanks for posting this. Ive had mine about 6 weeks now and really starting to get a feel for it. I dont have a fraction of your skills (only got into mtbs 4 years ago aged 54) but I do have a fair bit of MX, enduro and green laning experience so Im not a complete noobie, Im just struggling to translate mx style jumping to MTB style. The weight of the ebike is defo a help in that department as it feels less twitchy than my pedal Genius. I set it up from new with the factory recommended clickers, found it a bit harsh, softened everything up a bit which felt better but now Im getting more trail time (due to having the motor) Im getting a bit more adventurous with jumps and step downs and at astage where Im looking to fine tune the suspension a bit more so I was quite interested to hear youd put more volume spacers in. Would have been nice to have watched some footage of you from a mates camera following closely.
Just out of interest how many runs did u get in at stile cop? How was it up the fire road/push up? Hopefully getting one in June when there back in stock. Great video and awesome jumps/drops 👌
We did around 11 runs, 13 miles and climbed 3000 ft and I still have over half a battery left, some of my friends did their whole battery riding in turbo but I only use tour. No problem getting up the climb just a little loose at the top but still OK all the way.
Great review! Just bought one and looking to replace the stem. Did you just replace the upper part of the headset to fit the new stem? Does this affect the block lock at all? Cheers
@@janclark8438 I put a hope one in, any 44 zs headset will do. if you're using the original stem and spacer it won't look as well finished but it will still work fine.
How much SAG at you running? On mine I’m running 2 volume spacers and abt. 23% of SAG. I think you already used the full travel. If you are deflating the shock you can feel that you you cannot push down the o ring the complete way down. Abt 5mm will kept untouched. The bottom out doesn’t feel hard, because inside the shock some bumper is installed. If disassembling the shock and removing the valve core you can feel on the point where the o ring starts to use the last 15mm some resistance. I think this is the point where the the cylinder starts touching the bumper. If assembling you can further compress until abt. 5mm are left. I read, that the bumper should increase the progressivity. But I still try to figure out if, if only 5mm is left , it’s a “real bottom” out or if it is ok. Or if bumper will gets demage if this compression to the last 5mm will cause to often. If measuring the shock you will also find, that’s it’s not 65mm long. On real it’s something about 68mm.
I'm running about 25% sag at the shock so about 30% at the rear wheel. I've not felt any bottom out since I installed the one volume spacer so I'm happy with the rear set-up now.
@@davidbrown1042 Bike looks awesome, I'm the same height as you but was looking at the large to then mullet it and run a 35mm stem. Do you think this would work having experience on the medium?
