Using U.S. Mobile gives you the same advantage of not giving your personal info away to the carriers. The number locking stuff has to be requested manually, and they don’t offer any sort of insurance like efani. But, U.S. Mobile has very cheap MVNO plans so
Not sure if you’ve covered this, but what about a video about SIM locking. In iPhone the feature is called SIM PIN. If you activate it, no one could use your SIM in another phone without the unlock PIN. By default the SIM PIN is often the last 4 digits of the PUK code. But with SIM PIN you can change the code.
It seems like for regular people, you’re probably safe by using a SIM PIN, a PIN with your carrier to make changes, and good password. Anything else I’m missing?
Thank you for this great information! I learned things yep never heard of…however I did indeed giggle when you said “…this is probably overkill…” because I have an one SE5 iPhone that I only use if I have to drive in case I drive into a ditch I can go Hello 911 help I can’t get out! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Yet I am highly interested in home computer security and always interested in all security and I do thank you 🙏🏼!
So this is the first video that actually left me a bit confused is Efani like a mobil provider for privacy oriented people thst dont trust thier phone company and you pay a premium to use it? Or is it just for people who travel and need like a burner number and SIM card for a trip ?
Sorry for the confusion! Efani acts as a mobile provider instead of AT&T, Verizon or any other major carrier. They provide the same talk/text/data plan, but have significantly more security for those individuals and businesses that need it.
Yes and no. They’ve added some measures but since they’re having to balance user experience with security, the truth is that most of their customers want it to be easy to make changes. They don’t want to wait 14 days or go through a long verification process. Most people also don’t think that a SIM swap could ever happen to them.
Here in Us no need for all this you can do esim in just like 2 minutes. No name or any kind of informations you have to provide to active your e-sim even no one can swap your sim without account# + Pin code. dislike because falls informations
That's unfortunately not true. An eSIM is in some ways better than a physical SIM card, but it doesn't stop SIM swaps still happen with or without your account #. And yes, you still need to provide all your personal information in order to purchase an eSIM. I don't care if somebody dislikes my videos, but at least do so when I'm actually wrong - which in this case I'm not.
