You have the best ranged content on RU-vid! Do you think you could make a range DPS guide? Can you make guides for higher level bosses like vorago, solak, aod, kalphite king?
I thought about it but I am not 100% sure on that. Though it may not look like it, but I actually don't really have a Ranged Rotation, I just improvise along the way. Like I know which abilities I should prioritize but that is all. In a way, I'm a bit more flexible on that. I also only have like 3 kills on Vorago (NM), 1 kill on Solak, 1 kill on Kalphite King, and like 16 AOD kills. I am not qualified to make guides for that either. Think of me as just a Ranged player with BiS gear rather than the most optimal ranged player. I also do not wish to do certain things like tick abuse incendiary/tsunami(I always felt this is cheating), tick perfect smoke cloud, or any hybrid switching. I'm also not much of a fan of switchscape. Same with grimoire, I treat that like a coin bow that drains my gp for not even better PRs. Edit: I also thought about doing a Ranged Gearing Guide 2024 but not sure cause I didn't even follow that too. Rugged Hobo already covered it if you are interested in that
Hey can I ask you a quick question regarding relics :’). Between conservation of energy and heightened senses, which should we use for ranged. I have persistent rage (always) and fury of the small but I can’t decide between those two :(
Rewriting cause I am changing my answer. I think the reason why heightened senses can be preferred over Conservation is because you might find yourself going up to 110% adrenaline when trying to build deathspore stacks or you crit so much that it goes to 110%. If you get a relentless, that bonus 10% adrenaline is significant. I prefer fury of the small and zerk because I prefer the consistent adrenaline boost and damage boost when building deathspore stacks.
Nice vidéo thanks Do you recommand using fleeting boots over dracolich? Is it personal préf or it’s comun thing now? Watching you, i feel that the liberty of movement is better than 1.8s of dracolich buff
I'm team fleeting boots. The amount of times I cancelled rapid fire is too frequent without it. Especially at movement based bosses like Nakatra, Ambassador, I like Fleeting Boots.
I tested it on Zamorak with the same rotation as i always do and was able to shave off 30 seconds of my PR - The bow upgrade is noticeable good down there
Thanks for the offer but I'll be okay. My biggest issue is memory. The first rune appears okay. Second rune appears, I remember the second one and already forgot the first one. With Nakatra, at least the glyphs are displayed for me to memorize longer.
@@WingsofAbsurdity haha tbh you’re insane at range being able to do the new dungeon and vork, shows how good you know range. I wish I could learn a decent rotation as I’m bored of necro and want to use range more
I have a theory (with absolutely no evidence so don't quote me) that the t100+ weapons and armor are going to require the t100 versions of current t95s to keep their value. so it could be worth it for that alone, but realistically i have no backing up to this.
@@MrandMrsQuackthey don’t need to. They ARE valuable as a stepping stone towards higher levels. I don’t understand why people think that older weapons need to remain relevant for top tier gameplay. This is how it’s been in RS since GWD1. This is how it is in any game like this. Weapons that are no longer useful to you =/= the weapons no longer being useful overall.
@@TheSCPStudio I agree completely. When the new T95 mage weapons came out people were getting butthurt that Praesuls were going down lol. It's like yeah, content that came out almost 10 years ago should be devalued by newer weapons.
I had hoped the special thing was some sort of Passive stone, that you could attach to gear. Extra tiers is nice to give value to a drop but it's pretty boring as a concept. Nice video!
True. When I upgraded from Seren Godbow to BOLG, my PR times had like 1-2 minute difference on average. It goes to show how little the tier damage impacts your damage without anything special added to it. That makes the T100 Primal Weapons that are coming soon not as big as a difference as the T95. Still it is a marginal upgrade. A comment mentioned it's about 3.3% damage difference. Most importantly, especially useful at bosses without 100% accuracy.
I played around with Jas and Wen in the past and the time always fluctuates. Amascut has been more consistent if I haven't made a mistake. First it boosts your base damage by 10% and second, it does apply damage like Armadyl Book or Wen Book when it activates. Only much weaker but works well for poison build.
Apart from all the good speculations in the comment section. No kalg? No grim? No full set of elite Draco? I’m curious what the results would be with max crit rate and damage
I doubt Grimoire would be any significantly different than when I tested it back when BOLG was T95. Maybe a few second difference with Elite Dracolich if I don't find a way to screw it up. Grimoire which turns my bow into a coin bow, I actually don't get any faster times or even slower kills with it. Maybe it's a skill issue or I am not maximizing it but I would rather have Jas Book that adds up to an additional 30K damage when activated (which works with bleeds) than a 12% crit chance. I actually never tried Kalgerion but I doubt it would be any significantly different. I lose out on ripper damage or bosses where I critically need heals. Of course if someone does better with it, I'm all for it, I seen people perform way better with Grimoire. For a pvmer that does not have the same APM and refuses to use things like off-style crit buffs or ability stalling, I would not overestimate Grimoire.
I used to use Mahjarrat aura but I found It would not actually. Inspiration Aura has been the breaker of my PRs. Weirdly whenever I use Mahjarrat aura, I never get faster kills. Inspiration Aura's extra adrenaline from all attacks and DoTs really does something and shouldn't be overlooked. BOLG really hurts my adrenaline and Inspiration Aura helps with that since i don't do hydrix switching, off-style crit buffing, or ability stalling. It's the same thing with reckless aura(which that doesn't even do anything during DS), hasn't actually significantly helped with breaking PRs. Maybe it's a skill issue on my part but inspiration aura showed results while the other 2 did not.
I did a video on this (it wasn't a very good video if you ask me) about how I feel about and it's the same opinion I still have. First, I do not want more switchscape to my arsenal, I already pushed that limit with HM Vorkath and it's quite tedious. I'm a mistake prone pvmer so I even do things like triple ECB EoF in 3 seconds because I can't switch properly. It also hurts my left hand more. Secondly, I don't even get better times with Zammy and Dark Bow EoFs. My times are identically the same as without it except now I have even less adrenaline. Or worse, somehow I didn't maintain BOLG spec. Without grimoire (which I mentioned in my other comment about it being an expensive item for not even faster times), it's even worse.
