Those smaller trues make you look so agile. Just like how Wedgewood looks. I went down to a 33+2 20.2 where I usually wore a 34/35 +1. The smaller pad feels so much better.
@@jackzaroogian2294 I was a custom Vaughn or pro return Vaughn wearer. I absolutely fell in love with “Chinese” 20.2. I wore a Vaughn 35+1 to 34+1. I got the 33+2 20.2’s. They sit high on the boot and feel super light and I’ve been playing my best hockey in them. Glove feels great and the so does the blocker. I was going to buy a custom set of L87’s but these are just getting it done.
I have the G6 custom gear and love it, I’ve been wearing Warrior for the past 5 years and will probably use them till I can’t play anymore. I’ve had every brand since the mid 90’s and Warrior to me is the best gear I’ve ever had, that includes their chesty’s and knee pads.
I’m going to order some L87’s but I keep going back and forth with my sizing after seeing Scott Wedgewood on the ice and knowing he’s 6’2” with a 32+3. I have 33+2 L20.2 and they fit really good compared to my giant 34+1 and 35+1. I’m 6’1” and shrinking lol. Floor to middle knee bent over big toe is 19.5, floor to middle knee while sitting is 21. I wish I could try them all on.
i play lacrosse but i’m a huge gear head for anything so it was cool to see y’all’s opinion on the pads. also @chrisxdudo has a sick set up 🤣 power rangers, drums, and hockey pads lfg
I have a pair of Saros px3 pro-returns. Thin leg channel saved my life in my first game with them lol. My toe hook broke and it was the only reason I was able to finish the period 😂
Honestly if you have a good pre curve to the pad you could get away with a smaller set. Just need to make sure that 5 hole is sealed while sliding and what not. Looked stunning in the warriors! And who is that shooter?
I’d honestly rather wear pads that are a touch too small than a touch too big. Movement hold higher priority than butterfly coverage. But of course you’d rather have both if possible. And thanks man! They were pretty fun to rip around in. The shooter was one of Dudo’s buddies. We put the guy to work that day 😂
I will probably always use warrior gloves, I have SLR 3's now and really like them. warriors always performed for me, but the graphics are a bit boring.
I still need to try Vaughn out. It’s been a looooooong time since I’ve put them on. But I’m pretty set in my lefevre glove. And yeah the warrior graphics aren’t exactly exciting but do like the simple clean lines they use
With the PX3 pads, Bonesy has the same issue I find with alot of pads, they always want to rotate inward. It's so bad at the beginning of the video that your white socks (thigh guards) appear to be exposed and could be hit directly with a puck. Chris put the same pads on and the issue is gone, so it must be something with the strapping etc. How do you guys get the pads to stop rotating inward?? Thanks!
@@rhinosaurus01 People hate boot straps (well, they didn't until Price decided he did), but just a bit of skate tension helps keep the pad facing forward. Oddly, you can still keep the rest of the strapping as loose as you'd like just because you have that anchor point.
I’m just not a fan how hockey going with the equipment lighter and thinner. I’m old school I want the chunky pads and oversized things on a keeper. Just like the forwards to defense leather gloves. Not cheap clothe gloves they use even skates. I got the Bauer 190 when they first came out I get first ones I got them from a base rep who asked me to try them. Well first shift the chassis ripped off the back of the boot which was also broke. I’m not a fan how thing or the Avenue hockey is going. Bring back the chunky leather pads and gloves
