**Just a tip for you and fellow cat owners** It's realllly important when using lasers with cats that they are getting rewarded in some way (usually with treats) while playing. Most people don't realize lasers can be super stressful and frustrating for cats because they are never able to actually catch their "prey" and once the laser is turned off they'll continue to look for it for a while and be on edge because they can't find it anymore. When I use a laser with my cat (I avoid automatic ones, especially because it's more likely to accidentally shine in their eyes), whenever she "catches" it and has her paws on it, I immediately turn off the laser and drop a treat in front of her. That way she's being rewarded for catching her prey. I'll even sometimes try to have her catch the laser on top of one of her toys so she has something physical that she thinks she's caught. I just repeat that process until she's done playing. 🙂 Also a little fun fact for ya- The reason a lot of cats prefer to drink from the tap is because it's natural instinct to not drink from stagnant water. To cats in the wild, stagnant water often means the water isn't clean and could possibly make them sick. They know that moving/running water is more likely to be fresh so they prefer that over drinking stagnant water. Cool to see how they still hold this instinct passed down from their wild cat ancestors. 😁 Hope you're having a lovely start to the new year and doing well! 😊❤

I’ve trained my two Bengal cats to use the bell in about a week :) My cats already knew the trick “paw” beforehand, so it made the process easier. Start off ringing the bell and giving a treat straight after for a while so that he associates the sound of the bell with food. Do this for 3-4 sessions. Keep training sessions short, around 15 minutes max every time to keep their attention. I held the bell in my hand and asked for his paw and he would place it on the bell and as soon as it rings, give him a treat. Don’t rush the next step until he knows this solidly. I then changed the command from “paw” to “ding it”. Once he’s got this then put the bell on the floor / surface and ask for him to “ding it” or whatever command you use, and he should then ring the bell :) once they start, they won’t be able to stop 😂 It’s a fun party trick, and good mental stimulation!

I love grey cats with orange eyes, they look so halloweeny and spooky, Moon is a perfect name!

we bought my cat a really nice, soft, cozy, grey bed and for MONTHS we tried to train him to get in it and he just wouldn’t. then randomly one day I put a pink blanket I had on top of it and he GOT IN. and now he has been sleeping in it every night since. the bed had the exact same texture as the blanket, I think he just loves the colour pink.

I'm starting to think we need more cat content 😄 you three are so cute together.

We have the LED ball for our cat and she loves to sit and watch it move around. Definitely keeps her entertained for a while.

I loved all the moon content! My cat can be fussy and awkward too, especially with her bed. I find with her water fountain it has to be left alone for a while and then they realise it's nice fresh water so he may like it after a little while

Great video soph, moon is so adorable!! 🥰 also the reason moon doesn’t drink from a bowl could be because cats often don’t like to drink from the same place they eat because they’re biologically programmed to be careful of contaminating their water with potential bacteria

If Moon is not really using his regular drinking bowl (and prefers the tap, haha) it might be because his water is too close to his feeding spot! It helps to put the water bowl somewhere else! At least for our cats this made huge difference!! They drink a lot more water now :)

I had a fountain for my cats. One in particular was fine with bowls but she really liked it pouring.

For water: It's a known thing that cats often prefer running water, and don't like to drink near their food. They also don't like getting their whiskers wet if the sides of the bowl are deep, and can be spooked by those metallic type bowls some people use, if people are struggling.

I haven’t laughed out loud this much in forever, Moon really is a star! 🤣🤩

I have one of those bells and taught my 10yr old cat to use it. I would put the bell between us and hold a treat on my side of the bell so he would reach out his paw trying to get the treat out of my hands. He picked it up same day. Also when i wasn't him to use a new cat bed or whatever, i sprinkle a little catnip on it and either put his favorite blanket or one of my shirts that I've worn, works like a charm

You can train a cat to talk with buttons so you can definitely train one to ding a bell for food. You might end up taking it away though when they ding it too often.

My cat did not like her fountain at first but now she loves it. It helped to give her treats right near the fountain.

Moon would learn to use that yellow food dispenser fairly quickly, he realised how it works but was lazily letting you twirl it for him. My cat eats all her kibble from toys (toilet paper rolls with a couple of holes cut in). Raw food is served from the bowl for dinner, though she mostly lifts it out and eats it on the rugs😅 She gets about 50% kibble 50% raw food.

Put the bell next to the food bowl and ring it every feed. Your blueberry will catch on eventually. And you'll regret ever getting it for him. 🤣 It'll also make him come running when you hit the bell. That's how I trained my cats to respond to vocal clicks when I want them to follow me.

I bought one of those bells for my deaf dog to tell us when he wanted to go outside because he'd never bark or whine. We trained for months but no luck but the first day one of my cats accociated it with treats and dings it constantly lol

Sophs! Cats are attracted to running water. That's why he wants to drink out of the tap! And that's why a water fountain typically works better for cats. It also helps keep the water cold, because running water stays cold longer. I almost feel like his head is too big for that one though, and he keeps sticking his forehead in there. They make MUCH better ones!

My cat is laying on the bed watching this video with me. She rarely watches tv but loved this video! 😻 She’s quite interested in the laser toy, water fountain, and rat. lol

the Catit fountain is really good, if Moon doesn't like the tap one. you can completely take it apart and clean every bit!

Oh man that little puzzle toy is like... level two. You gotta start kitty on a level one treat ball to get his confidence up! As for the brush, those little gimmicky things never work that well as brushes. I have an undercoat rake as part of my grooming kit, and I just use the rake to get the fur out of the slicker.

I would love to see Moon in a cat pram, I mean like a baby pram haha 😁

You need to use shaping to train him to use the bell, basically give him a biscuit for even sniffing the bell, and then only treat if he touches it with his paw and so on until he gets it the way you want.

Not sure about the quality of that water fountain but my two cats love the catit flower fountain. It runs all day and you change the filter every month. We originally got it when one of them got sick as a kitten and we worried he hadn’t had enough to drink because he was too tired. Definitely work a try with moon as you don’t want any kidney/liver problems!

I’m training my cat to use the bell! He doesn’t meow so I want him to use it when he wants into or out of a room, and he’s picked it up so we’ll! It helps to train your cat to give their paw or handshake first.

We have a cat backpack for walks and once you’re walking the cats love the different smells and seeing different stuff. The blanket if you sleep with it for a couple days he might lie on it more

My cat Luna loved her first water fountain straight away but hated her second one. However, I just left it out and eventually she actually preferred it to the first one. Cats like moving water because still water in the wild is usually stagnant.
