Did you have to do anything outside of the instructions to make the oem wiper work on the bent metal windshield? That’s the same windshield I have and love the idea of a lower wiper setup like you have. My manual wiper works okay but is a pain when your riding in the rain any longer then 5 mins. Plus would love to have the sprayer!!!
I got the can am kit for the plastic windshield , the glass kit has a longer arm and wiper I believe. I think a 1-2” longer arm and shorter wiper would give me another 1” or so of more viewing area up too. One day I’ll get around to testing that. Extremely happy with the set up.
715004762 is what i bought - 20" 715003282 i believe is the 22" which i think would be too big for the bent metal window, not sure on the 2.0 what works better
@@jfmjr1970 i sold the x3 last year and picked up a pro xp4, sold it this year for a adv bike lol. but if i kept the x3, a little longer arm and shorter wiper would have been the perfect setup on the v1 of the bm windshield. would have given a little more overall wipe up top. Overall loved my combo as it was. if you look at install, they show 2 different ways to mount motor depending on kit. i thought the glass version had a longer arm also, i know the wiper was bigger
Nice I'm getting ready to order same thing so should I get the glass can am one or this one you go for the hard poly. I'm putting it on Bentmetal windshield also.... I heard order part number ending in 4762...
i use the rainx additive in washer fluid. This was just a stretch of road we found and decided to have some fun. Typically i would tip toe around the puddles lol.
that is the can am OEM wiper, i used the one for the plastic windshield which was about perfect, ideally maybe a 1" longer arm and 1" shorter wiper would allow a little more "wipe" up top
It’s the one that came with the can am kit - be aware there is 2 diff can am wiper kits. One is for the glass windshield ( longer arm and 22” wiper) and one for the hardcoated windshield - that’s the one I’m using it comes with a 20” wiper.
I love it, if I'm doing deep puddles i shut the vents typically. I'm jealous of the v2 coming out - more viewing area and looks like a better setup for center wiper setups. While the cam am windshield is def nicer, comes with a expensive as hell price tag lol.
