These are great bits of kit and you can actually save and send all the info as a Testo report to the client as part of your service/landlord certification, etc. very useful!
I was the one of the original testers for the smart probes clamps and manometer they are really good. but the down side is sometimes on the manometer there is a time information delay which lead you to over pressurising on tightness test. then you need to release a bit of gas out. one other benefits of the app is can do reports.
Ive had this kit about 6 months, I bought them after watching PB use them . Really good and simple to use. Temp sensors seem accurate and always quick to connect. Digital manometer is good for burner/inlet pressures etc. You can use it for tightness test but theres abit of a delay with it reading the pressure so it's pretty awkward trying to set it at 10mb and 20mb so I prefer using my u-gauge instead. Im not sure if you have to but I presume it will need a yearly calibration too. Good luck with the move Allen.
Just open the tap slowly a little bit remember it’s 7-10 can easy get it in thst range and 19-21 also remember it will stablise so if you go a little over it will drop a little bit if you out to much in don’t pull the white jointer out in the middle like that div above me is saying just pull it off meter s touch and shove it back on
I do t have the 115i but I have the manometer (510i) and it’s amazing. So easy to connect to the app. Every gas technician in my area that’s not cheap has one of these. Amazing. Everything they make is amazing I also own the 760-3 multimeter and it is way batter than my fluke 177 or my fluke 85V and half the price.
I have these thermometer clamps and use for commissioning boilers on flow and return etc I also have the 510i, great kit but I do have a bug with it an it’s putting me off using it now When I connect to a no pressure test point, for example I isolation gas cock on a boiler an connect onto inlet test point an the pressure is positive immediately, I remove an zero the gauge an reconnect and it’s always climbing pressure even though valve is shut ..
I’ve had the probes and manometer for a couple of years, I use the clamps daily but seldom use the manometer .. just keep it as back up to my Kane Decent gadgets and no untangling the wires
Are we going to get a new Man Cave Build series at the new Hart residence, Allen? Hope so as I enjoyed the last one 👍🏻 Anyway good luck with the move . We all know how stressful that can be ….
Hi Allen I am trying without success to get a main heat exchanger for a old Ideal Classic boiler. Now in the London area nobody keeps anything so I was hoping that you might have a contact or two in your area who takes in old boilers and sells the spares. Kind regards, Dave Porter
I’ve had them probs for about 20months or so and the 300 analyser brilliant kit use my probs about 2-3 times a week batteries lad about 6month for me 3xAAA really accurate and testo customer services is top notch the only thing I can say is the monometer is abit of a nightmare getting used to as it fluctuates abit and are arse falls out first time you use it haha also if it’s really windy it shoots up and down so little tip if you’ve got a jacket on put it in your pocket and use a long tube or put it behind the meter or shut the meter door while your doing your test otherwise your head will fall off when your readings are going all over the show there’s a recording function on the app and you can do a tightness test on it and email it from your phone as proof 👍😊
Trouble is that these probes dont offer anything that a really good Anayliser cant do. And batteries in this that and the other will just be a pain. Charge the Anayliser and it does anything you need it too.
