A tutorial and demonstration of setting up your PC for tethering to your iPhone via USB. This can be extremely useful as a backup when your internet goes down as the phone stays charging via the USB and other devices can still connect via wifi. Watch out for data usage though :-)

I recently set this up after BT completely disconnected my landline in error and left it like that for 5 days. That's a long time for someone like me who uses the internet every day. Fortunately, I have excellent 4G coverage and my iPhone basically became the gateway for all devices in the apartment. It works great and doesn't require iTunes. I don't mind having iTunes on my Mac funnily enough but I don't want it on my desktop.
This is being set up on a Windows 10 64-bit machine but it will work with Windows XP upwards.
