Every time I see people playing competitive Tetris it makes me so happy. I use to watch old Tetris world champion videos and now that Tetris99 is here there’s been a new light brought to competitive Tetris. This game is so cash and underrated. Bless up to the Nintendo Gods

Yeah I don't get it he is like giving a damn speech whilst doing mega equations on placement positions in less than a second whilst giving a monologue, dude had one row left couldn't even see it and not even a flinch or stutter.
HEY-- I randomly got into tetris in general after a lifetime of sucking ass at it and I just wanna say your vids have helped me BIG TIME.... I literally couldn't even enjoy tetris effect because I was so horrible at it, picked it up again and suddenly "got it" and was playing on expert mode. Thank you so much for your vids??!? Love watching you play. I was placing low 90-80 on tetris 99 every time and since watching your vids I'm usually 30+ , 12th - 15th place, got a few top 3's. Chill explainations and techniques!
He's playing the game, scanning the other players, reading chat, responding, casually talking and saying what he's doing the entire time all super relaxed
I really love the concept of this especially for experienced modern Tetris players like with the timing of getting a Tetris to score a kill. And you're always guaranteed to face against another experienced player or two by the end of a match

You probably know this already but just in case - apparently the procon is really prone to misdrops because of the D-pad so I'm not sure if that's what's causing you're mistakes but it helped me heaps when I switched to joy cons
I'm by no means an expert on this but I think its just better to focus on playing effectively rather than looking around the board trying to find people to aim for because when the amount of players left starts to come down your chances of KO'ing someone just through solid play goes up anyway
I couldn't build a tetris with a guide, a mentor, video instruction supplement and 4 hours of practice. This guy slams tetrises like they're pez from a dispenser.
For some reason whenever I play Tetris 99 on my Nintendo Switch I *always* get attacked either from the start or hard throughout the game. But, whenever I play on my cousins Nintendo Switch, the game is very peaceful and calm. (Yes we are both the same level)

wow this is good and I think I got a few pointers. My highest placement has been 12. If I really focus and don't get attacked instantly I've gotten 15-18th place. Otherwise I average around I wanna say close to 50.
