It also says to not use one the cards by removing one card at random that no one sees. I think this is prevent a really good player from leaving a great spot open for the last piece of a particular shape because that piece may be the one removed from the deck.

The scoring for achievements (in the version I have) for 2 player games, says to skip the top score (8 or 7) and start with the second one. It really doesn’t make much difference because the difference is 3 points whichever way you do it. If you are keeping score over a series of games and the winner is the first to reach a certain score, then it would make a difference.

Hi! I just got this game today! Do you happen to know why the Tetris matrix towers from Walmart don’t include bonus icons while the ones online do? I don’t think this is fair.
On the back of the board where it shows imaged of all the different tetromino you will notice some of them are of single minos. Absolutely you could play with the shapes images facing you. You just need to make sure you are still placing the tiles the correct way which may change the orientation compared to the card for say the "Z" or "L" shapes. If I remember correctly the "Hold" function was introduced in the video games in "The New Tetris" in 1999. Maybe they wanted to make it more like the original game to help increase the challenge? Of this game specifically? I don't believe so. It's possible that a version has been made by someone for tabletop simulator but im not 100% sure as that is mostly user generated content.
