Everyone seems to think this would make for a good cheesy campy alien invasion movie similar to pixels but better, but I think of this as the story of a Soviet Worker trying to survive through the years by building and maintaining pieces of the Berlin Wall

Of course, one of the best, movie-quality game remixes of all time, and it's for the one game that could never become a movie.

This makes me laugh because the Tetris theam is based on a Russian song about a street merchant falling in love. Imaging this playing in a romantic comedy movie trailer.

I can imagine the plot is some alien invasion happening with Earth's army fighting off the blocks... "We're on wave 24 and the block storm is hittin us hard.. we're almost there Captain!!" This epic version is even more awesome, if you know, that the original soundtrack is the very old russian melodie of a song about a man, who tries to get back to his Love he has lost before, and who has to fight against a lot of enemies blocking his way to take her from him and him from her. At least this is what I know about the deep background of the Tetris melodie and it's actually epic.

On June 6th 1984, the Russians presented a game called 'Tetris'. It had was the first major hit game since the Cold War ended. 35 years later, in 2019, we learned the truth. It was not a game, it was a weapon.

Since everyone’s sharing their tag lines for the movie, I thought I’d write out my storyline I’ve had for many years. *ahem The CIA finds a man in the middle of nowhere that has no recollection of how he got there and where he’s from. He notably has a Russian accent and fingers of steel. Shortly after he’s found and put in custody, monuments around the world begin to crumble and reveal blocks of bright neon colors. As the man is being transported for trial, a giant block crashes down from the sky followed by many others. The man is able to escape the car and as a block is close to crushing him, he raises his hands and is able to levitate the block and rotate it away from the nearby buildings. The government officials see this and request that he stay with them and go to other hot zones where the blocks have considerably landed. Soon they find out he is able to eliminate the blocks, named tetrominos by scientists that note their quad components, and his memories begin to come back. He is the descendant of an evil emperor in space that wishes to conquer earth by building his new home world with the tetrominos. After an existential crisis, he agrees to journey into space to find the emperor and end his tyranny to save the planet. Yup, I’ve had this dumb movie concept for years and of course it’s already been confirmed that there’s going to be a Tetris movie🙃 (You’re welcome Hollywood if you heard my conversations I’ve had about this story in public) Edit: Oh crap, I guess I wrote Captain Marvel in the process too. This "Tetris theme" (which actually wasn't even used in either Tengen's or Nintendo's NES release) is actually a Russian folk song of unknown authorship called Korobeiniki. While Tanaka's version for Nintendo's original Game Boy release of Tetris made it recognizable to Americans for the first time, it is neither Tetris' song, nor Tanaka's composition.

I would like to think if this had a movie it would be about people who try to find the ending of this game first and whoever wins get a grand prize of 1 billion dollars. And so people get stuck in the game and they forget what reality is like. They become so obsessed with tetris that they only play this game and dont care about their families anymore. All they want to do is complete the game. I think that would be a cool idea for what a tetris movie could be like
