I introduced this song to my daughter 6 yrs ago. She loved this song so much. She would want me to play it everytime we get in the car. She passed away 3 yrs ago so now I listen to it to feel closer to her. If any of you pray. Please pray for me. The worse pain in the world.
Nostalgia from the 90s makes the tiny little hairs on my back stand up...! American RnB was really something special to us Brits back in day! Thank you 🇺🇸 all the way from 🇬🇧 !!
We tried it over here in the UK with the r&b thing, we did ok at times. But some things are best left alone as we were imitating a complete different accents. Accents I think count a lot, especially when it comes to tone and cadence. But we found our own lane with soul II soul, Omar, Ricky Clarke, loose ends, incognito, etc.
I'm Nigerian and my dad would play this song and other black american songs when we went for outings but this song stuck out to me the most. I would proudy sing this song outloud from the age of 6 till today even if I'm not singing the right lyrics. I'm so glad my Dad got I and my siblings into R&B and Hihop from young and forever grateful to the AA community.
@@blam9346 There will always be ignorant people, whether it be between African Americans from different cities, African Americans and Carribeans, African-African. It is just a symptom of how collectively divided and lost we are as a people. You will find most of us have nothing but love and appreciation for our brothers and sisters all over the world. Don't focus on the negative

idk if Tevin Campbell recorded this b4 or after the episode of the fresh prince of bel air he was on when he was a surprise guest at Ashley 's birthday party. i mentioned that because both Tatyana Ali & Karyn Parsons ( Hillary) were in the video
Love Tevin Campbell definite nostalgia coming back brst times of my life the 90's music, for sure Heavy D, AL B Sure! And Prince "Round n Round song" influences.. ughh Bring back this kind of music!!❤
WHAT?!?! This dude is one of the most underrated artist ever!! I made a playlist on Apple Music called “ Songs You Must Listen To More Than Once “ and the 1st 3 songs on there are Goodbye, Just ask me to and Can we talk. I STILL listen to them songs FAITHFULLY! Tevin is a LEGEND!!
No videos like this anymore sadly. By today's "standard", this young lady has on too much fabric and not enough jewelry shining/money being thrown around. My my, how times have changed.
We go way back from very day 1 in 1989 with Quincy Jones. Song name "Tomorrow". We were around the next-generation around the same age when he sang that song to be our youth anthem.
This was one of my favorite Trevin Campbell songs...still is. This song just makes me miss my childhood. To go back in time to all of this would be a blessing. Life was soo much better and simpler back than. 😢
Because back then our Generation Xers were highly multi talented that can not only just sing but act or doing other professional things simultaneously. I'm glad to be a part of the era. It was the gifts in display. Don't forget Jodeci too was singing hook in the background
This is such a classic song!! This Era iof music will never get Die. They are still trying to recreate this sound in 2020, I can hear jodeci in the background vocals they sound amaaaazing !!!!!!! So glad this music was the soundtrack of my middle school years ,,,,,,,
Going into 2021! Listening Now! The Best!😘. The Best Of Tevin Campbell is probably one of the Best CDs Ever!. No skipping songs, Just Brilliant. The mess that's out here now, is a No for me. I respect other artists but Tevin, brings me back to earth😂😂😂
It was something magical about the chemistry between him and Tatyana Ali every time they were together i believe that was his true love in real life but the dark industry kept them apart and made telvin turn 😪
Ma'aan One of my favorite songs frum Tevin & it has dat 90's feel good groove F'real, OMG🤘🏽❤😌🔊🎶& hiz vocals are Outstanding az Usual & he sang w/Sooo much expression.... SMH such a Great vocalist Before anybody else did it tho, Tevin made hits afta HITS😍besides bein mentored by da late Great Prince💜🤴🏽💜OMG he Dfntly Won F'real!!🏆💯
Young Ashley Bank of course Tatyana Ali indeed. She's very multi talented herself. Us Gen-Xers had the gift to be multi talented in different ways, not just one area.
I love this video including the song now this is what you call true love it's a shame how things are today see videos like this show you and prove to you what true teenage love really is because this video I'm pretty sure a lot of us can relate to it because we went through it at some point or another. That scene with Tevin Campbell being with that older woman I can definitely relate to that part because I have my share of dating a few older women and yes I did sleep with some of them when I was very young. back then I really was hoping that Tevin Campbell and Tatyana Ali would get together and get married but I see that it's not going to happen because of the choices that they both made I still can't get over the fact that Tevin Campbell is gay now.
