This is a perfect example of what separates good teams from championship teams. There is no reason for Tannehill to be throwing 52 times in a close game like this. Especially when they were running it pretty good in the first half. As coaches you have to be aware of how the game is unfolding and adjust accordingly. The Texans were not going to be driving down the field over and over. Trust your defense and play the field position game. Trust your run game to get you first downs. They were averaging pretty good ypc, and it was probably a matter of time before they break one out. And if they don't so what? You punt and force them to go on a long drive. The drive they got the first pick is a perfect example. They could have established the run but they decided to go pass heavy instead. They started the drive with 3 straight runs from AP for 16, 4, 12 yds. But when it got down to the endzone, where passing is hardest, they decided to pass despite getting 5yd and 4 yd runs on first down. Just pound it in there. Its not rocket science. Especially against one of the worst run defenses in the league.

I did NOT expect this game to be a trap game for the Titans. Although, this was a divisional game and they could always go either way. The Titans have a pretty good final 6-game stretch with winnable games against the Fins, Jags and Texans, (please beat them this time), but there's also tougher games like the Steelers and the 49ers. However, the toughest game left on their schedule will be next week against the AFC East-leading Patriots. That game will be very interesting in terms of deciding the #1 Seed in the AFC.

I'm a Dallas fan, so this is the coolest thing that happened all week for me. WTG Houston, WTG Tyrod.

I knew this game would be trouble for my Titans....it was against a division rival, the weather was bad and the Texans had a bye last week...so they have 7 games to get ready for this one. This was their Superbowl in a sense. They probably will not win another game this year but they won this one!

Sportsmanship, as opposed to gamesmanship, means applauding the victor and consoling the loser. As a complete neutral, I delighted in the Texans' success, especially their defensive strength and the obvious joy they had in winning , and I will delight in all the Titans' successes to come because they are a great team.

I'd like to point out that this wasn't that much of a surprise. The Texans defense is actually pretty good, it's just that our offense has been so terrible that the defense never gets off the field. Hopefully with Taylor back starting instead of Mills, we can win a few more games by the end of the season.

Honestly this is typical Titans, im pretty used to it by now considering it happens every year im not placing blame on injuries because even with all the injuries we still should have won, the mistakes killed us and lets be real Tannehill has been doing awful i realize he doesn't have much of anyone to throw to but he literally missed a wide open TD pass and instead threw to Firkser who was covered really well, those INT's were ridiculous that "grounding" call hurt us, im usually pretty optimistic but we will be LUCKY to hold on to the division playing like this, if we don't get healthy and get Henry back for the playoffs we are not going to win a playoff game, might not even make it, our 4 top WR's are injured 3 top RB's, Dupree, both starting MLB's, our Safety, starting CB, OL and nose tackle, I've been saying it all season these stacking injuries were bound to catch up to us, the Texans clearly played better football and got the win gg.
