Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1974 Original Leatherface House Film Location Round Rock Tx Before & After

During our road trip, traveling in Texas we visited Round Rock Texas to see the location from the original 1974 Texas Chainsaw Massacre. This is the location where the original Leatherface house stood. This film location is now unrecognizable in 2023. The original Sawyer family house was bought, relocated and restored to a restaurant in Kingsland Tx called the Grand Central Cafe. This is a video showing the before and after of the famous horror movie location. The coordinates are 30.480277°N 97.692522°W Thanks for watching and hope you all enjoy. My god that is heartbreaking. At least they kept the house and relocated it but wow. Incredibly depressing to see how stripped back the nature is now.

I was there several yrs ago the road was still intact. Was great to see it. Sad to see it now it's completely gone😢

I was really shocked, because when you go to Google maps it still shows the land and road. But it's unrecognizable now

@darkdimensionshauntedhouse yeah it was so amazing to see it in person u walk on grass then the Gravel becomes visible as ur transform back to the past to still see the old rocks where the steps stand. I'm glad I can witness it, I was gonna go back n redo all the locations now I became a good video guy. But now gotta edit my old vid into wat it was when I was there

thats the field yes but the county road is on the other side parts are still there its on the side of the apartments still awsome job .............

@@user-ov5ol7um5e we have been to Kingsland to eat at the relocated original house, we have been to the gas station but never spent the night. The owners of the gas station just bought recently the original black Maria Truck. We have been to the bridge in Bastrop for part 2. Been to Leander tx for the Cemetery, the remake house, the remake slaughter house in Taylor, and part 4 house and school in Pflugerville. I believe that's it. I think the rest of the locations are not recognizable or filmed in California, Louisiana and another country

not sure if your asking where the house is moved to? If so it was relocated and restored to a cafe in Kingsland Texas.

Pretty insane to see it in today's day and age and, though it wasn't real, the location of what brilliant insanity went down there back in the day. Though the other commenter is correct, the real road she runs out on is on the opposite side to where you are standing, there are actually remnants of the road still there and you can line it up, you can see it on google maps and you have to enter the property to be able to get there i believe. All in all, excellent video!

thanks, yeah it was hard for me to line up. I went to Google and couldent find it easily, when I got home and did research I saw I was on the other side, the back side. It's just really unrecognizable though and crazy how different it is now. I tried finding the matterhorn (Texas chainsaw massacre 2, texas battleground) which is kinda near but another unrecognizable location
